Taster at brewery. Pours dark with decent tan head. Lots of roasted malts, caramel and chocolate on the nose. Thin palate gives way to roasted malts and some bitter cocoa.
Nitro tap - good size creamy head, pitch black color, big toasty and chocolate malt aroma and flavor, moderate hop balance, of course that silky smooth finish from the nitro, very good overall

On tap @ Canal Park Brewing Company. Looks dark brown with a fine-grained head that coats the sides like foam. Aroma is sweet roasted malts and coffee. Taste is sweet, roasty, caramel, and just a hint of coffee. Palate is unbelievably smooth, thick, and creamy. Goes down very smooth, mabe a smidge too mild. Yet, overall still a great beer.
