Bottled (shared by brunnsbe, thanks!). Quite much pitch black colour with not too much head. Aroma is smoked, some dark dry fruits, mild ashes and berries. Also some slight alcoholic notes. Flavour is dark berries, some ashes, mild smoked notes as well as some roasted malts.

Bottled, from Kimberley, BC. Near black, rich head. Unsurprising aroma of blackberry and coffee. Midsweet with clean, rounded mouthfeel and medium body. Some salty tar mingls with the blackberry jam im a mid-bitter finish. Would probably have worked better with a more chocolatey flavour instead of coffee and tar.

Draught at Amberjack Tap House, Surrey, BC
Black color, creamy head. Evident berry aroma, raspberry and blackberry, with a dash of roasted malt. Good body strength; strong chocolate flavor, some roasted malt, and a pleasant blackberry flavor; the bitterness is too strong. I’m not a fan of such beers, but this one is very well brewed.

harrisoni (19165) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 15, 2006
Bottle from BC Liquor store. Deep ruby colour with thin tan head. Fruity dark fruitsand dark malts on the aroma. Blackberry fruit in evidence over a rather thin body and then a powdery choc on end. Bit of liquorice. Some dryness on end.

mcberko (18572) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 14, 2009
UPDATED: APR 1, 2010 650mL bottle - pours almost pure black with an off-white head. Blackberries are dominant. Smooth porter with a dry finish, but a little thin. Good porter, nonetheless.

Oakes (18531) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 16, 2004
Mahogany colour. Huge blackberry syrup aroma with coffee, nuts, vanilla in the background. Sweet blackberry notes bounce off of astringent, slightly nutty roasted malts. Certainly not seamless, but the combination is a natural. Finishes with the same sweet/bitter interplay on the palate. This beer is like best friends arguing.

jtclockwork (17100) - , New Jersey, USA - JUL 17, 2014
UPDATED: JUL 20, 2014 Bottle. Pours brown tan head. Nose/taste of straight up blackberry with some earthy roast. Touch of cocoa. Medium body.

Draft - Chocolate and blackberry, just like the chocolates. Jet brown with a light brown head. Just as it smells with a hint of boozy sweetness in the finish. Think those alcohol filled dark chocolate cups. Not my thing, but exactly as advertised.

Lubiere (14133) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 20, 2005
Reddish brown porter with a thin white head. Sweet caramel malt with black berries in aroma, light chocolate notes. Nice bitter chocolate with deep nuttyness and light berries in finish. Powdery dry porter, with medium body. A nice sweet porter. Tasted at Institut’s gambrinale, Outaouais, Oct. 28 2005. From Jean Marc in Coquitlam.

bu11zeye (13140) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - OCT 19, 2007
