Really nice Canadian take on a stout. The base stout is spot on with the full body of a much stronger stout. The maple adds a sweetness on the nose. 750ml bottle. Iphonephan (7194) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - JUN 3, 2016
From a 22 oz bottle. Pours a murky cola with a tan head. Maple aroma. Flavors of maple and roasted malts. Bitter roast finish with a bit of tang (maybe off?). Bonaldi_Taylor (1) - - FEB 20, 2016 does not count
UPDATED: FEB 21, 2016 Its absolutely amazing. Fantastic Stout, light maple flavor at the end, wonderful. solidfunk (9363) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - DEC 29, 2015
Light, we’ll integrated maple. Roast and dark chocolate. Black pour with good head and lacing. Bitter finish with some light sweetness. Tap at St augustines. markschiedon (682) - NETHERLANDS - DEC 31, 2014
Drinking from a 650 cl bottle.
In the aroma clearly maple syrup and chocolate.
The clear black beer has a medium brown head.
Dark chocolate, coffee and maple syrup in the taste. Some sourness.

Bottle. Actually flavourful, the maple is neither cloying nor missing and it is balanced by the toastiness of the malt. Finally a maple beer that used maple well.

Pours a dark black colour with a nice beige head. Nose of roasted malts, somewhat coffee like and some nice maple. Extremely sweet mouthfell, with a light to medium body. You get some hops in the finish. Pretty good! Hidden_Pooch (518) - Stratford, Prince Edward Island, CANADA - MAY 31, 2014
I have had to many maple beers, where you don’t taste the maple. This one was bang on. Nice big roasty malts with chocolate and maple, can’t go wrong with that combo and it was so well balanced. A grand old dessert beer, or really anytime for me. BrewGoblin (632) - Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, CANADA - MAY 31, 2014
Now we’re talkin’! This was one of if not THE best of Cannery’s quaffs. A real pleasure to pour and pound this opaque dark mahogany maple mistress. Smells is maple, dark roasted malts and some cocoa. Expect to taste that as well as smoke, leather, vanilla and let the good times roll. Make some pancakes, light up a joint, down this dusky dude and head off to work. By bike or pedestrian means of course. Great thick mouthfeel with a maple taste that lasts. dslam (103) - surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 18, 2014
Dark to the pour, very little head. I am not able to taste the maple very much. It has a beautiful smoky aroma. I like my whiskey smokey and this reminds me of that taste and feel. Leaves an almost charcoal like taste behind. I would definitely recommend as a pair with bbq meat. A little touch of sweet but I did not taste any maple, so a little disappointed.
