Thick, malt forward aroma has notes of orange-citrus and plenty of tannins. Caramel and toffee are up front with just a touch of butter. Some earthy and floral notes and a fleeting hint of licorice. Brilliantly clear chestnut brown coloured body is topped by a decent tan head that recedes slowly to cover with nice lacing. Caramel is strong in the flavour but cannot hide a husky graininess. Regardless, the flavour is somewhat simple and quite sweet. Medium light body with overly strong carbonation. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Toffee nose, with some wood. Dark brown color, fizzy body with no head. Caramelly sweet body, raisins and a nutty end. Crisp texture. OK, but a little too sweet. YogiBeera (2569) - New Jersey, USA - APR 2, 2006

UPDATED: FEB 12, 2006 From the bottle: Pours a deep opaque brown with reddish hints. Thin fizzy head that fades instantly. Aromas of hazelnut, and chocolate. Flavour is smooth and a little thin. Malty and slightly nutty flavour with a faintly sour aftertaste. HazelRah (276) - Summerland, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 19, 2005
In my opinion the best from Cannery although can be a little watery on tap. Directly from the brewery in a "party pig" it is a great session beer with a full mouthfeel, inviting head, and eye-catching brown colour. Puts OSB to shame.
