Amber pour with a tight white head. The aroma is a little bit toasty with some light chewy malt. A bit of fairly simple malt character through the middle. Slightly smoky but that is very light as well. Lighter palate than I’d like. Lingering sweetness. It’s okay, but very generic. pootzboy (1736) - Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 15, 2012
Bomber - decants an unfiltered light amber colored ale with a 2 finger cap. Aroma is malty, caramel a whiff of smoke and a wee bit of butterscotch (Diacetyl). Flavor is very malty, cara-malts prevalent, some smoke, long wet finish where a light Golding bite occurs. A serviceable scotch ale, malty, full bodied. 6%.2nd beer from this brewery & what an awsome brewery. Poured into my tall hobgobline glass that was released 1-2yrs ago. Big head that topped off like merang from a lemon merang pie then settled down to a bubbaly cola like head as it leaves. Beer is like an ambery red to light and pale orangey(pumpkin beer like)look like carbination. I dunno if I can smell fully well right now but what i get is like a light yeasty ale. Taste is good it’s a little water, some granniness, some pie like taste like merange or crem burlay a little citrusy sour and stuff like that. Eather way it’s easy drinking light on the hops bitterness when its detected and just really good. So far i dont get the smokyness ppl talk about. Now I like this a little more then there porter mabye and Im a dark beer fan. This is a good ale cheers cfrancis (3445) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 15, 2012
Pours a golden amber with a small white fizzy white ring. Aroma is butterscotch and caramel. Taste is nicely carbonated with caramel sweetness. Leaves you looking for more. Sammy (12197) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 13, 2012
A little smokey taste, better when cold, that left a moderate sour finish. OK for Octoberfest , a serviceable beer, but not an exceptional beer. Mild smoke aroma.

Bomber from the Blair-sector LCBO in Ottawa, ON. Written "Enjoy before: 010213". Pours a hazy deep amber colour with very intense tiny-bubble carbonation. This creates an off-white, creamy head that lasts forever and real thick lacing around the glass. Sweet and grainy cereal nose with hints of caramel, butterscotch and kind of peaty. Oily mouthfeel and medium-bodied. The taste is pretty smooth with the malt (caramel, grain), the sweetness (butterscotch, sugars), the fruitiness (apples, pears, raisins), the roastiness and a little smokiness in the finish with light hop. Goes down quite nicely for a scotch ale. barncatmatt (2286) - Cambridge, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 7, 2012

glasswear: st ambroise chalice
initial pour: bright orange, small off white head, lightly smoked cara malt nose.
first sip: light maltiness and light smokiness, the malt body is semi sweet, the finish is watery with light smoke
as it warms: the smoke comes out, the sweetness is more forward
overall: a semi sweet, lightly smoked amber ale with a cara heavy malt body TheJester (2542) - Cavan Monaghan, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 6, 2012
650 mL bottle. Nice copper-orange colour, but no head to speak of. Doesn’t really smell like a scoth ale; smells kinda generic. Tastes like a generic ale with smoke. Nah. Radek Kliber (7359) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - OCT 6, 2012

sweet malty character , plenty of sugars in there,Woody musky hop elements, slightl creamy notes.
Appearance: gold with hint of amber. Lighter white top.2+
Taste etc.: medium bodied. Somky with dy pit feel, golden malts as backing. Subtle not very deep in developement. Medium lighter carbonation. Good semi lighter smoke till very end. Bit light in body and substance fo Scotch ale.
Smells malty, tastes a little oaky, a little bit of whisky around. Id like to say it tastes like a dirty scotsmans kilt but unforunately it isn’t that character heavy, pours reddish orange. Really good head and lacing.
