6%.2nd beer from this brewery & what an awsome brewery. Poured into my tall hobgobline glass that was released 1-2yrs ago. Big head that topped off like merang from a lemon merang pie then settled down to a bubbaly cola like head as it leaves. Beer is like an ambery red to light and pale orangey(pumpkin beer like)look like carbination. I dunno if I can smell fully well right now but what i get is like a light yeasty ale. Taste is good it’s a little water, some granniness, some pie like taste like merange or crem burlay a little citrusy sour and stuff like that. Eather way it’s easy drinking light on the hops bitterness when its detected and just really good. So far i dont get the smokyness ppl talk about. Now I like this a little more then there porter mabye and Im a dark beer fan. This is a good ale cheers Canmoore (496) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 25, 2012
Slightly hazy, deep amber colour. Nice 1 inch bubbly head that quickly dissipates to a soapy thin layer with great lacing. Strong smoked aroma that has notes of wood, earth, and some butterscotch. Nice thick malty taste that includes notes of vanilla, caramel, coffee, peat. The peat notes reminds me of the tang from a good scotch..this is an awesome brew.
As the beer warms up I get more butterscotch, banana, and more of that great peat taste! Very slight hops taste brings up the rear in this fantastic brew. I am very much enjoying this beer, quite drinkable! cyrenaica (1159) - Milton, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 18, 2012

Part of the 2012 LCBO Fall Release. The beer pours a beautiful translucent scarlet red colour with a very thin tan head that lingers. The aroma is a little smoke, roasted malt, and caramel. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour is sweet malt, some roast, smoke, and a hint of molasses. Easy drinking and not too sweet.
(650ml bottle) Purchased at the brewery for an insanely cheap $4. Pours a lasting, yellow head atop a highly carbonated red brown body. Nose is very smokey with some peat and jerky. Flavour isn’t overly sweet, some bitter notes with a strong toasted finish. I suspect the smoked beer lovers will love this - and at 6.5%, its rather light on the palate. Very good. Bomber from the Blair-sector LCBO in Ottawa, ON. Written "Enjoy before: 010213". Pours a hazy deep amber colour with very intense tiny-bubble carbonation. This creates an off-white, creamy head that lasts forever and real thick lacing around the glass. Sweet and grainy cereal nose with hints of caramel, butterscotch and kind of peaty. Oily mouthfeel and medium-bodied. The taste is pretty smooth with the malt (caramel, grain), the sweetness (butterscotch, sugars), the fruitiness (apples, pears, raisins), the roastiness and a little smokiness in the finish with light hop. Goes down quite nicely for a scotch ale.

Gold with a hint or orange or red. Good whiff of peaty smoke and sweetness, taste balanced sweetness and fine noble hop center with nice plays of peat smoke, fruit, light toffee - extremely poised palate. Quaffable and satisfying. Gorbalev (3000) - Ontario, CANADA - OCT 25, 2012
Bottle, LCBO. Amber pour, huge fluffy white head with orange tints. Dusty malt aroma - really reminded me of a grain silo (don’t asked - I played a lot in grain silo’s on a farm when I was a kid). For that it gets extra points for helping me reconnect with my youth :) . Hint of smoke in there as well. Grainy, smokey taste. A bit sweet, no hint of the warming alcohol I expect in a Scotch Ale. Actually, that smoke really kicks in the the lingering finish - lasts a long time. A bit thin and not complex but better than I was lead to believe - solid brewery from my limited exposure so far.
