This is a dark luxuriant mild with just enough sweetness to compliment the chocolate and roast malts.

Cask, GBBF 2010. Achingly average mild; thin mouthfeel, washy old roasts and fleet of hop. Makes me wonder why CAMRA persevere is promoting this style, which has now become whatever the brewer feels like brewing.

Cask @ GBBF 2014. Deep brown pour with a small head. Nose suggests figs and dark forest fruit. Trail mix - chocolate, toasty cereal and raisin. Flavor is similar. Nice and fruity. Mild toastiness. A bit of chocolate. Dirt-rubbed cherry skin. Relatively chewy. Soft carb. Pretty respectable mild number.

Had this cask, gravity at Bromyard Folk Festival, Friday 12th September 2014 . Pours chocolatey brown in colour, with white off-white rim head. Malty, caramel, nutty, rather tedious mild that I’ve had many times before especially when I lived in Worcester, but one that I never got round to rating. Chewy, uninspiring beer. This was the beer that sees me finally overall Glen in my bid to claim the county of Worcestershire. A5 A3 T6 P3 Ov11 2.8
