Tulip glass at the brewery. This is a clear gold with a small head. The aroma is very direct and clean. It’s textbook Belgian golden with light banana, clove, pepper. It’s a little less estery than the most classic examples. The palate is dry and spritzy with flavors of crackery malt, lemons, and woody hops. The finish is pleasantly fruity. Just clean, simple, nuanced, and really well made. stevoj (5438) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 11, 2016
Draft at brewery. Another GABF hold winner, but I’m not getting it. Seems kind of sweet. Definitive yeast characteristics, but picking up some here notes too, bananas, etc. Pale golden pour, yeasty, grape juice aroma. Props for winning a medal, but I’ve had better. onceblind (10327) - Denver, Colorado, USA - DEC 27, 2014
Clear pale golden with a wee white head. Light peppery nose with a heavy ester and golden blonde graininess. Full rich blonde flavor with a bit of estery pepper and thick yeasty blonde dough.

On tap at the brewery, GABF week 2014. Fairly light and simple. Noticeable yeast and light sweetness; thin palate, with some sugar, but a very light note of sourness. Clearly recognizable as a Belgian style; but I thought it was in the style of a single. 3fourths (9357) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 17, 2014

Malt impression is cake frosting and pastry bread and simple syrup; yeast is lightly phenolic and lightly estery (white grape / pear) with quiet herbal aroma hops. Medium body, semi-sweet with light syrupiness, low bitterness and bracing carbonic acid. Lightly tart short finish. Mostly clean, just simple.
Candy sugar aroma and flavor. A bit sweet and sticky palate. Strong banana nutty and Belgian yeasty flavors. Has lots of flavor but just a bit sweet and some low carbonation.

On tap at the brewery. Golden and clear with a white head. Aroma and flavor of sweet malts, light spice, fresh citrus hops, lemons, Belgian yeast and fruity esters. Sweet and lightly tart with a crisp, dry feel over a medium body and a refreshing finish. Pretty smooth. mfrato (110) - - JUL 15, 2013
