Bottle. Umm interesting. I drink this on cask a lot and it is one of my favourite beers. This is the first time I have had the bottle version before. It was slightly cloudy even though it had been sitting still for a number of days. The carbonation wasn’t great. In fact it was a hint sweeter than the cask version (which is quite dry) which makes me wonder if the bottle conditioning had failed leaving the priming sugar unfermented. The great nettly-grapefruit hop profile I associate with this beer was still there - I always find Canterbury Ales use of hops to be fantastic. Overall, knowing what a great beer this is on cask, I was a little disappointed.

On cask. Poured very hazy. Grass, straw earth, wood aroma with a biscuit malty taste and a dry finish. Nothing to write home about.

golden, hazy, frothy, white foam, a good accompanimant to curry which is why I bought..lightly bitter, light body, average carbonation, long finish, citrusy, refreshing, bottle at mouton rouge, canterbury.

Cask. Appearance- orangey, pretty clear, one finger white head which is quite thick. Aroma- lemons, citrus, fresh hops. Taste- bit of fruit, very smooth, slight malt, lemon hints. Quite nice.

Man of Kent, Rochester. A lovely drop. Easy drinking and full of zest - like a liquid tangerine marmalade. Sank three pints of these easy. Good condition. Good ale. And I’m starting to enjoy this pub.
