Cask handpull at The Foundry Canterbury. So this was getting towards bottom of the barrel but it was still good. Solid spicy rye on aroma good red fruits and then citra and chinook finish. Probably their best beer so far. Really tasty. Lovely hop
Ascot 2016. Pours a clear copper colour with a red tint and white head, aroma is sweet malt with dark fruit, taste is medium bitterness with with more fruit coming through with a dry bitter finish. MartinT (9795) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 21, 2016
My Bottom Line:TBone (17434) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 6, 2016
Spicy rye, dark cherry fruitiness and bitter hop resins coalesce in this hoppy brew’s sadly stagnant body.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-There is no head of foam atop the hazy mahogany.
-Hops also offer citrus and flower allusions.
-The mouthfeel and appearance are far from refined.
- The two cask beers I tasted here on this visit were easily the worst tendered casks on the entire month-long UK-Ireland trip.
On cask at the brewpub.

Fantastic dark red colour on pouring from the bottle but fantastic from the cask too (try it where its made, great little pub!) Has a heavy malt flavour thats very strong but very enjoyable. Definitely worth buying a few bottles to take home! hohops (983) - Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 7, 2014
Cask. Appearance is mostly amber with ruby tinges. A foamy half-finger head. Fresh, floral, hoppy aroma. A large amount of bitter hops in the taste, fruity hints, lasting finish, clinging in the mouth. Pretty good. mR_fr0g (11901) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 11, 2014
Cask at the brewery. Clear red amber colour with a lasting thin greyish loose head. Aroma is hedgerow berry, spicy cereal grains and slight solvent. Flavour is spicy hop, big solvent and hot alcohol and biting rough bitterness. Really rough round the edges. Some phenolics in the finish. Medium body and lowish cask carbonation. Not much to like about it. edsspoon (894) - Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - APR 24, 2014
Red/pink with a thin white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, dark fruit, molasses, and floral hops. Taste starts with strong bitterness and citrus, followed by floral and hay flavours. Fruity and sweet then a long bitter finish. Thin body, medium carbonation. zacgillbanks (5123) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - FEB 15, 2014
Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. This is a hazy dark amber beer with a nutty and a spicy red fruity flavour, nutty and woody notes with a bitter yet creamy finish.
