3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Original batch, courtesy of Ryan. Another Cantillon I’m not the hugest fan of, somewhat heavy on the palate with a cognac flavor and a bit of weird sweetness, lacks the creative fruity quality I really like in a good Cantillon. I think Cantillon does amazing fruit lambics but their Gueuzes generally (GENERALLY) fall behind DF.
Cotteridge Convention III – May 2017 - Cork and cage bottle shared at Cotts. Big thanks to Dave for this one. As ’Cantillon 50°N-4°E’. Pours a hazy orange with a small foamy off-white head. Aroma is peachy, lemon, light metallics. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is again peachy, lime and lemon sherbet, a little grassy, some light drying cognac vibes. Lovely. Copper color with a thin head. Hints of oak and vanilla in the aroma. Light tartness. Dry as all hell. Woodsy. Dry cognac notes. Very vegetal hops. Barn funky. Sublime. Clownoisseur (482) - Buchanan, Michigan, USA - JUN 17, 2017
Bottle at Cantillon, split 3 ways with the wife and Mike (bytemesis), cheers! Pours a hazy copper color, small off-white head that leaves a ring of lace. Aroma is full of signature Cantillon funk, oak, hay, horse blanket, light leather notes, light citrus rind and an underlying floral note. Taste is a balance of cognac, Cantillon funk, light citrus, light floral, light hay....mild acidic, mild bitter. Great balance. Finishes medium dry with a sweet bread note, bitter brett/hops, deep funk, horse blanket and oak. Outstanding! BlackHaddock (7320) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUN 12, 2017
Cotteridge tasting #3 on 20th May 2017. Cheers Dave (WingmanWillis) for this offering. Hazy golden pour, thin head, wispy. Best Gueuze I’ve had so far, not too sharp or sour, the Gognac barrels calming down the Lambic nicely for me and my palate. Still tart and leaning towards citrusy in nature, but mellow compared to most in this style. SarkyNorthener (4609) - West Bromwich (Yorkshire Expat), West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAY 28, 2017
Bottle shared @CWC III, thanks to Wingmanwillis, cheers Dave. Hazy golden amber beer with small head. Aroma is cheese, funky and lemon. Taste is lemon, citrus, barnyard, cheese and sour. Excellent.

2015. Pite w browarze w maju 2017. Gładziutki, czysty, zbalansowany, grzeczny/nieprzegięty lambik. Kwaśność przeciętna ku niskiej. Pełny. Beczka zaznaczona. Perfekcyjne, średnie wysycenie. Delikatne (biało)winno-dębowa cierpkość. Dosłownie akcencik octu. Finisz wytrawny, nieco goryczkowy. Totalnie w moim stylu, genialne gueuze.
