1 of 250 bottles, 2003, has held up well... the aroma is bursting with currants, you can smell them immediately, naturally sour they turn the beer super sour, by far the sourest cantillon I’ve head, fruit is lost on the taste but its awesome and worth trying

This pours a nice yellowish color with a small amount of head that fades. It is intensely sour. It’s a fun experience but I’m glad this comes in a 375 ml. Dunt (321) - Illinois, USA - NOV 12, 2013
Last bottle at One Pint apparently. Bottle says it was made in 2002, but the cork date is 2004. Translucent orange/light brown in color with a 1/4" of white head on the pour. Nose is predominately red currant, cranberry, floral, oak, and a slight touch of honey. Bracing acidity without being acetic, incredibly tart red berry flavor to it, can feel it in the back of my jaw. Heavy acidity, light mouthfeel, gentle carbonation, and an enduring finish. The more I drink of it, the more it stings my esophagus as it goes down. It’s stomach churning, but in the best way possible. My conquest has finally come to an end, groseille is mine. Pours orange, thin fizzy white head. This beer is also insanely sour, even moreso the the 2005 cork Groseille à Maquereau. Basically just lots of sourness and little red current character, if at all. Oak, lemon peel, funk. Pretty one-dimensional. Light body, very dry finish.
I preferred the Groseille à Maquereau over this one, but neither blew me away. I’d rather have more complexity then just palate-destroyingly sour. Very excited to try but a bit let down in both Groseille’s for the most part.
UPDATED: NOV 24, 2012 ’02 vintage bottle consumed at One Pint. Clear pale yellow pour with a faint white head. Sour red currant aromas overwhelm the old nostrils. WOW, this is one tart, sour monster and definitely the most sour Cantillon I have ever tasted. The red currant is so acidic and tart it almost has a salty characteristic to it. In some ways reminds me of sour patch kids. A very interesting lambic that I’m really honored to have a chance to try. It’s my understanding that over the years the red currant is becoming more pronounced.

Pours an orange copper colour with a small white head. Aroma is really intense; really sour berries and wood. Flavour is strong with redcurrant, wood, nuts and some lactic acid. Medium bodied, dry mouthfeel and a long, sour, aggressive finish. Mouth-drying. Wow. Finally managed to have this and this sure was great.

2002 vintage! - Pours light orange with a smooth head. Aroma of sour berries, redcurrant, malts and earthy notes. Taste is extremely sour with a lot of berries, redcurrant and fruits. Finish is again quite sour with some malty and fruity notes. Quite extraordinary and extreme lambic.
Bottle at Per’s, Just WOW! And enormous thanks. Golden body. Dry funky nose, slightly fishy but not in a bad way, green fruit, yeah, Cantilon. Golden body with some yeast floaters. Small white head. Aroma of old attic, some mold and sour aroma. Very harsh. Really sour and a way too much for me. Too sour to notice those little flavour in lambic.
