COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The world's classic Gueuze. A blend of one, two, and three year-old lambics creates a second fermentation in the bottle. The champagne of Belgium. In contrast, the Lou Pepe Gueuze is a blend of three 2-year-old lambics.

Newer vintages are labeled "Organic Gueuze", "100% Lambic Bio" or "Classic Gueuze".

Bottle provided by Baron whilst watching football. Thanks for bringing the Loons bro, I love drinking dis shit. 2011 vintage poured into a New Belgium tulip. Poured a golden brown in color with about a fingers worth of tight white head. It’s hazy in clarity. Nose is comprised of lemon and a ton of dirty funk. It’s surprisingly funky for this stage in its development. There is must, horse blanket, wet hay, and some cat piss. Flavor is less funk focused, there is still some sweetness accompanied by the lemon rind. There is some funk on the finish, but not a bunch. Mouthfeel is light, carbonation is low, gentle acidity, and a moderate finish. I love Classic Gueuze/Gueuze BIO/etc., so I always think its a treat to have. I prefer 3F Oude Gueuze in terms of standard gueuzes, but this is probably a close second. Thanks for bringing this Baron.

Draught. Clear yellow-golden with one finger cream white head. Aroma is surprisingly mellow with hay, barnyard funk, lemon and gentle yet clearly present and cutting acidity. Taste is hay, barnyard funk, musky lemon and light mineral notes with the same gentle acidity as in the aroma which still clearly and cleanly cuts through the palate. Medium mouthfeel, light to medium carbonation and acidic funky hay aftertaste.

Bottle shared at the brewery. Pours a hazy, straw color, with a small, bubbly, off-white head. Notes of apple, clover honey, Greek yogurt, berries, and sourdough. Lightly tart flavor, with just a touch of bitterness. Light body, with a smooth, lightly acidic, and effervescent mouthfeel. This is a nice, dry, mellow lambic. Simple, but very well made. Just a pleasure to drink.

Jest o czym myśleć. Jakie s drewno, skóra, trochę obory, kwaśne owoce. Drożdże wypracowały świetne przyprawowe aromaty. Dość wysoka kwaśność i chyba idealna słodycz - bardzo niska. Świetne.

Skirted perfection. Appearance is average but for the great artwork and packaging. Funky sour/yeast driven nose. Taste of fruit, perhaps apples, a touch of vinegar, leather. Mouthfeel has lots going on, soft carb, several layers, dry oaky finish. Brilliant balance, not super tart but sour enough. Artsy.
