Habanero (4639) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK, DENMARK - MAY 1, 2017
Bottled. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma of lemon, funk, barnyard and spicy notes. Slightly sweet flavor that ends up being dry and tart. Medium bodied, watery to oily texture and soft carbonation. An excellent Geuze. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Bottle shared at Ratebeer awards show. 30/01/2016. Huge thanks to b3shine!. An onon skin / onion coloured pour with a small off white head. Aroma i sbig funk, horsey, dung wiith some orange rind. Flavour is composed of tangy citrus, onion, crisp tart lemon, complex sourness, horsey musty funk, mouldy wood. Palate is spritzy sourness, highish carbonation. Good. A genuine treat to get to try this.

Bottle shared at DHVL. It pours a hazed golden color with a large white head. Aroma is tart acidic with plenty notes of lemon juice, Greek yoghurt, minerals, light funky basement, oak. Taste is also acidic with more green apples, lemon juice, lactic acid, some funk and herbal spicy notes, basement, horse blanket. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, very good but far inferior to the Millennium (benchmark gueuze for me) and other 3F expressions

Bottle shared by b3shine at RBWG: This was the beer that ended the gathering share and a huge thanks to Beau for sharing. Poured a hazy orange with little head. Aroma is funky herbal, lemon, dusty nose. Taste was similar with woods, herbal, lemon, fruity, funky.

ClarkVV (6642) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 23, 2016
750 mL bottle, drunk 8/13/16.
Clear copper body shows a smidgeon of head with low retention.
Strong acetic notes in the nose give hints of acetone, but it’s mostly passing. Highly fruity, suggesting raspberry and apple esters alongside buttery (oak?). No green apple, thankfully, but this still comes off a bit sharp and out-of-balance due to the high proportion of acetic acid here. Could just be the competition at this tasting is so intensely high. No alcohol noted.
In the mouth it fares better. Slightly sweet but with earthy and light vegetal notes of musty, intense cellar funk. A bit flabby, without the creamy, ultra-concentrated carbonation. Again, very strong on the acetic character with lots of acidburn on the end and a very yogurty, cheese rind-like lactic character that puckers the mouth. Very juicy, richly sour stuff.

Bottle. Orange pour with white head. Very funky, leather, woody, fruity aromas. Flavors are funky, oak, fruit, tart and sweet tones.

This beer has improved dramatically since it first came out in 2013. It has a hazy gold color with a dusty and citrusy taste. It is far more balanced and softer now than it was a few years ago. I’m excited to see where this one goes.

This beer was not what I expected after hearing a few people talk about it. The aromas is really the two breweries combined, you got a soft vanilla aroma from Drie Fontainen and some not as calm things from the cantillon lambic. Really interesting, I thought that the beer wold have come together more after this much time. But I guess that it’s what makes it so special.

Bottle @ RBWG 2016. Big time thanks to Beau for sharing this. Hazed orange beer with a white head. This beer is pretty nice but the acidity is definitely on the heavy side. A whole lot of lemon juice and green apple. There’s some cobweb funk, yogurt, and musty oak. Nice fruit character of peach, kiwi, green apple, and pear. Maybe just a hint of sweetness to it and even a touch of bitter fruit skin. Certainly a solid beer, but not the most amazing thing I’ve had.
