Cherries, old midewy wood, and viniger. Lambic tartness with oak and cherry. Not too overpouring but a definate zing to it. Lemon grass and some dusty grapeskins. Not as tart as others from Cantillon.

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2018 Aromat słodkich wiśni, końskiej derki, drewna, jogurtu. Barwa intensywnie czerwona z różową pianą. W smaku umiarkowana kwaskowosc wiśnie, ale i lambik. Bardzo fajne.

Keg at Spout Cafe, Leek. A hazy red colour with a medium pink head. Aroma of tart cherry, some sour lemon, barnyard funk, slight wood, a hint of vinegar and subtle biscuit. Taste of tart cherry, sour lemon, some barnyard, slight red berries, a little vinegar, a hint of phenol and subtle biscuit. Medium bodied and a slick texture. A dry but tart, funky cherry finish. As expected this is really well made, tart cherry but it’s there to add sweetness to the funky and subtley acidic but really well rounded lambic. Lovely.

375ml corked bottle from beergonzo.co.uk. Deep red colour with small pink head. Big barnyard funk, big tart cherry funk, light acidic, big overripe tart cherry, big red berry compote, damp grain, sour cherry yoghurt, light vinegar, light cinammon, sherbet, rosé wine qualities almost. Great tart cherry finish that lingers on. Amazing kriek, weird how much lower the rating for this is here than on Untappd and BeerAdvocate. Could 4.3 this one.

Bottle. Pours ruby lots of head and lacing. Nose is cherry tart. Notes of cherry, tart lemons, vinegar. Taste med tart light sweet. Light body lively carbonation.

Sometimes you notice you've never rated a key beer. Had this many times, but noticed while I was at Cantillon I had no rating. Bought a very fresh 2017, 375ml bottle to sample. Cork is stinky upon extraction, pours an inky ruby purple with some sticky, pink, white head. Nose is really lovely, arguably Cantillon at their best. The berries are right there, jammy, sweet, sour, almost mouth watering. Not just cherries either, raspberry too. The funky lambic base is right there behind it too, lemon rind, band aid, medicine cabinet. Flavor is good, but absolutely a tick below the nose, the fresh berry gives way to the lemony sourness, white grapefruit, perhaps a little fruit roll up, some fresh red wine. Finishes only lightly tart and lightly funky.

Rocznik 2013. Nuty skórzaste, umiarkowanie ziołowe, lekka końska derka. W smaku cierpkie, umiarkowanie kwaśne, ściągające. Te wiśnie w smaku klasa. Długa się utrzymują.

0,375 l bottle. Pours clear deep red with big light pink dissipating head. Aroma is both sour and sweet, sour cherries, but also fruity in general. Taste is light sweet, light bitter and medium sour. Body is quite light, texture slick and carbonation average. Finish is short, starts fruity and ends very tart.

Thanks Bobbie! Splendid lambic. Mild cherry sweetness, with crisp tartness and a soft General fruitiness. Medium Body. Great.

37,5cl bottle at home. Appearance: clear red with pretty big, fast dissipating, pink head. Aroma: cherries, brett, pretty funky, some lemon juice and a trace of horse blanket. Taste: high sweetness, low bitterness and medium tartness. Notes of cherries, red fruits, brett, hint of strawberry. Finish is slightly dry. Palate: medium bodied, slightly sticky texture and lively carbonation. Balanced and enjoyable. Good one

From my dear officemate: pours pinkish red with a pinkish head. Aroma is sour cherries, wood, hints of vinegar. Taste is tart but not overly sour. Has an interesting dryness. Barrelish taste comes through. Nice aftertaste. Quite tasty.
