COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"It has the colour of onion skin", said a voice behind me. It was Raymond Coumans. He was admiring the colour of the raspberry lambic reflecting in the red copper of the buckets used to empty the barrels. At that time (1986), "Raspberry-Lambic" already was synonymous with a sweet, artificially flavoured beer. This is why we decided to distinguish our beer from the other raspberry beers. Raymond proposed to call it a rosé, dedicated not to Bacchus but to Gambrinus.

The process to make this beer is identical to the one to make Kriek. When young, the Rosé de Gambrinus will still present its full fruity taste. Later on, the lambic taste will become dominant at the expense of the fruit taste.

Bottle pour at the brewery. Pours pinkish red with medium pink head. Great raspberries aroma, very fruity, funk, sourish, average carbonation. Easy drinkable. Light to medium bodied. Not that complex but so juicy and quaffable.

pkomar (366) - Poznan, POLAND - MAR 5, 2017
bottled in 2013, opened in 2017. I got mixed feelings about aroma - on one hand it has some raspberries, some funky notes but on the other hand it smells of stale hops. Taste is much better, sour (not mouthtwisting-sour) with a nice raspberry pits aftertaste. A tiny bit of tannins to balance it out and just a hint of sweetness on the palate. Nice one apart from that odd stale hop note.

adamnowek (2288) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAR 1, 2017
This beer has probably the most beautiful colour I’ve ever seen in a glass. Bold ruby red. Only a thin white head around the edges. Aroma is rather floral with hints of red berries. Taste is massive, with loads of fresh raspberries.

Wonderful rose color and nice foam. Great texture of the beer and feel on the tongue. Sour anwild, but red fruit note is not well exposed.

Ładny, czerwony kolor. W zapachu spora kwasowość. Smak - dużo malin, kwaśne pestki, dużo dzikości. Na dalszym planie wychodzi owocowość, sporo brettów, siano.
