COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"It has the colour of onion skin", said a voice behind me. It was Raymond Coumans. He was admiring the colour of the raspberry lambic reflecting in the red copper of the buckets used to empty the barrels. At that time (1986), "Raspberry-Lambic" already was synonymous with a sweet, artificially flavoured beer. This is why we decided to distinguish our beer from the other raspberry beers. Raymond proposed to call it a rosé, dedicated not to Bacchus but to Gambrinus.

The process to make this beer is identical to the one to make Kriek. When young, the Rosé de Gambrinus will still present its full fruity taste. Later on, the lambic taste will become dominant at the expense of the fruit taste.

Beautiful stuff, this. The gal says it tastes like koolaid without sugar. Plenty of brett horsiness in the aroma. Dull cloudy tangerine stripped orange. Creates quite a pucker. Some noticable raspberry but very subdued. Vinegar notes. A great lambic.

October 2017 - 375ml bottle at home in Richmond as 'Cantillon Rosé De Gambrinus', 5%, bottled Dec 2016. Naked woman getting fondled on the bottle. Pours a deep ruby red, translucent, sparkling, foamy pink head leaves streaky lacing. Aroma is huge raspberry, cherry, strawberry, jammy, mixed berry yoghurt, little musty. Big aroma. Body is light, pretty smooth with tingly carbonation. Taste is again fruity, more citrus than aroma, blood orange with a hint of raspberry, lemon juice tartness. Really clean and fruity. Enjoyable stuff. (8-4-7-3-16=3.8)

Sample from a bottle after the tour at the brewery. Pours a clear, ruby color, with a small, pink head. Sharp raspberries dominate the aromas, with some yogurt, lemon juice, cloves, and gingerbread. Sweet and fruity, with a light and pleasant tart flavor. Light to medium body, with a pleasantly acidic, crisp, and clean mouthfeel. Light and fruity, well balanced, and just lovely.

Tart funky aroma with tons of raspberry. One of the prettiest beers I have ever seen, Dark crimson with very little head. Tastes tart with natural raspberry flavor coming through. Light palate with champagne-like carbonation. Very well done; I would like to try more beers from Cantillon although where I live it is very hard to find.

Aus der Flasche im Muted Horn getrunken. Klares Kirschrot mit wenig Karbonisation. Typische schon entwickelte Lambic-Nase. Das Lambic dominiert stark über die Fruchtnoten.

On keg at The Kernel brewery, Bermonsdey, London, UK at Zwanze Day 2017, 23rd September 2017. It pours pink/reddish, with a small pink head that disappears quickly. Aroma is funky, raspberries, other red berries, earth, grass, lactose, notes of lemon. Taste is medium sour. Body is light to medium, carbonation is average. Overall lovely!

From the brewery in a small tulip. Cloudy brown with a red hue, off white head. Funk, grape skins, barnyard. Acidic, medium carbonation, good sourness, slightly metallic. Great beer.

Vom Fass Stone Brewing Berlin 2017-09 getrunken. Ein tolles fruchtiges Lambik mit Himbeeraromen. Jedoch ohne Bitterkeit wie bei einer Framboise durch die Himbeerkerne.

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2017 Kolor różowy, klarowne. W aromacie stajnia, siano, malina i kwaśność. W smaku więcej dzikości, obory, konia - maliny w tle. W posmaku pojawia lekka pestkowa tanicznosc.

Klares Rot mit reichlich rosa Schaum. Sehr fruchtig, reichlich frische Himbeeren, leicht säuerlich, mild, etwas trocken.
