Bottle. Poured hazy purple color with minimal fizzy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Good tart grape & yeasty aroma. Medium body with tingly texture and lively carbonation. Moderate to heavy sour fruity flavor with a solid tart fruit and small alcohol bite finish of moderate to long duration. This is a standout lambic.

750 ml capped and corked bottle poured a clear reddish purple with a small ring of pinkish foam. Aromas of red grapes, barnyard funk, light leather and a hint of vinegar. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry tart finish. Flavors of red grapes, funkiness, leather and light vinegar with a crisp dry lingering tart funky finish.

Keg at La Capsule, Lille, France. Clouded red to brown with white head. There is a fruity sweetness which is cut through by a tannin tartness. Woody notes, sharp and tangy, rich on the palate. Very pleasant.

(brewtopia04, bottle) Opaque fuschia without head. Aroma is vinous, old sweaty socks, barnyard. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium acidity, i.e., not as much as most Cantillon, medium body.

Ros lambic with a light cherry and lactic acid aroma. Dry cherries in mouth with strong sour notes, very puckering and definitely classic. Rich and complex, with cheese-like qualities. Medium bodied. Sampled at Quintessence Cantillon 2005.

Scopey (13005) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 29, 2011
Bottle at Craft Beer Co tasting, thanks to Matt. It pours deep red-purple, with a thin white head. The nose is farmyard, juicy red grape, blackcurrant cordial, jam, lemon and chamomile. The taste is red grape, lemon, Granny Smith apple, citrus pith, lime, floral, eggy sourness and sour cherry, with a mouth-numbing sour finish. Medium body and fine fizzy carbonation. Massive drinkability, great balance, juicy fruit and sharp sourness. Great.

(Bottle) Pours a pinkish-red punch-like color with a white head. The aroma dances up your nasal passages with a beutiful bouquet of grapes. Has a tart flavor and hints of come woodiness. I would like to try a bottle that has been aged a little bit longer (3-5 years)
