2009. Sunrise yellow. Aroma lets you know it’s going to be really tart....and it is, a lot. Really sour, covers up a little funk, lemon, bitter. Goes down easy all things considered. GrumpyOldTroll (61) - New Jersey, USA - MAY 7, 2016
Golden yellowish color and moderate head. Very acidic with sea buckthorn nose. Very bitter and dry, Decent amount of fruit character. jtclockwork (17655) - , New Jersey, USA - JUN 5, 2015
Bottle thanks to Clark. Pours gold white head. Nose and taste sour lemon, oaky funk, sea buckthorn, horse blanket - medium body. manker (76) - SWEDEN - MAY 14, 2014
Bottles of different vintages @ One Pint Pub. The sea buckthorn puckers on and the tartness gives a nice ride. The flavors arent too varied but its not really needed for a beer like this that is supposed to really highlight this particular bërry. Slightly vinous, funky and bitter sour. brokensail (16689) - Dublin, California, USA - MAY 4, 2014
Bottle @ 10K + OT. Thanks, Jer. Cloudy light orange color with a white head. Ooof. Rubber, plastic, and soda water aromas. Lots of salt, lemon juice, and a touch of grass. The taste isn’t much better and is actually quite watery. Fairly salty and rubbery. At least some decent citric qualities of lemon and kumquat. A touch acetic. Really disappointing.

>> Thank you Jer for this ghost wale! 2005 bottle. Served blind alongside Mikkeller SpontanSeabuckthorn. Pours a low haze bright golden with good white foam. Nose is band-aid phenols, neoprene, fresh salt spray, mild bologna (this must be an off flavor from the seabuckthorn fruit). Taste is watery, plastic, mild seltzer, huge citric lemon. Palate is lemon seltzer. Not much to this one.

Sampled the 2004 vintage in the US in 2012 thanks to Jerry- very fresh and salty, pure sea buckthorn coupled with bracing acidity. Also had the pleasure of sampling the 02 (batch one) and 04 vintage yet again at One Pint Pub in Helsinki in Sept. 2013 with Fredrik, Ludvig and Magnus. A memorable experience however the saltiness of the beer is almost too much a distraction to really get into without a lot of focus. A curiosity to try and a great excuse to visit Marko at One Pint on a rainy evening in Finland.
