Vigneronne is a blending muscat grapes and lambic, the brewers and beer merchants produced the "druivenlambik" (grapes lambic). White grapes soaked in lambic. The fructose, which abounds in these fruits, enables us to make a beer which is more mellow than the Gueuze or the other fruit beers. The spontaneous fermentation, the ageing in the barrels for several years and the addition of grapes make it a distant cousin of certain white wines. Changed name from Druivenlambik in 1987.

3 oz pour at Hops & Pie. Hazy, pale, dull orange appearance with a small head. Funky yeast, vinous notes and sour grapes in the aroma. Similar flavor, funky, dank, fruity and mildly tart with dull carbonation and white wine finish. Good, but a little underwhelming from this brewery.

0.75 l bottle from De Bierkoning, bottled in November 2015. Hazy, golden yellow with a thin, fluffy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sourish-fruity, moderately funky aroma of lemon, white grapes, rhubarb, oak and some leather. Sour, fruity and moderately funky taste of lemon, white grapes, green apples, rhubarb and oak, followed by a medium long, tart finish. Thin to medium body, spritzy and rather astringent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Indeed quite mellow compared to other Cantillon produces Ive had so far, less sour and less wild, but that lets it stand out a bit. Maybe also not that complex, but balance and drinkability are top-notch.

UPDATED: AUG 6, 2016 Tap at Akkurat. Hazy orange color with small white head. Lightly tart citrus and oak aroma and taste, some grapes present but they are somewhat subtle. 9-4-8-5-16 2013 bottle at Himmeriget. A little bit dustier than the tap sample, grape, citrus and hay blends together very well. Solid. 9-4-9-5-16

Gammal anteckning (2011). Flaska frn lbutikken Kpenhamn p den tiden det fortfarande gick att f tag p Cantillon hyffsat enkelt. Inge strre skillnad frn den vanliga geuzen men visst kan man anan druvorna ngonstan. Torr, ltt oxiderad, fat, syrliga pplen, fuktigt tr, lite grape, aningen funkig/stallig ltt stma, rejl syra men i bra balans. Riktigt gott.

Bottle, 2013 vintage. Hazy orange color, small white head. Aroma of leather, barnyard, white grapes and medical phenols. Very interesting, deep and unique. Taste is medium sour, dry but also some small sweet note. Flavor is funky and fruity, muscat grapes, and that phenol notes. Great beer, one of best

A bit hazy yellow colour. Almost no froth. Nice aroma of white wine, flowery hints, hints of horseblanket and grapes. Acidic beginning. Wine taste in the middle. Grapes and some sweetness in the end. Another phenomenal lambic. Wine-like. Long aftertaste. Very well balanced.

Bottle. Migs World of Wine, Brussels. Clear gold. Halo of white. Nose has fusty, creeping, damp, woody malts. Lots of punchily acidic white grape, by way of balance. Touch of honeyed sweetness in the background. Smells great. Taste has a soft sweetness. Gets dry, and grape juice earthy and tart. The mouthfeel is fantastic. Smooth, and rich, but clean and puckering al at once. Finishes mouth-wateringly tart, clean, and tangy. Drinking wine is something I rarely do these days, but this reminds me of some of my absolute favourites. Stellar.
