COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Vigneronne is a blending muscat grapes and lambic, the brewers and beer merchants produced the "druivenlambik" (grapes lambic). White grapes soaked in lambic. The fructose, which abounds in these fruits, enables us to make a beer which is more mellow than the Gueuze or the other fruit beers. The spontaneous fermentation, the ageing in the barrels for several years and the addition of grapes make it a distant cousin of certain white wines. Changed name from Druivenlambik in 1987.

First beer poured for my 28th birthday. What better way to reward yourself for making it another year on this planet than with Cantillon? Vigneronne pours a hazy golden orange, with a fingers of soapy looking white head. Nose is all muscat grapes and it is spectacular....probably the highlight of the beer for me. White wine and grape skin with some hints of lemon and just the slightest acetobacter. Muscat/white wine grapes arent as prominent in the flavor, but they are still one of the main themes. It’s focused particularly on the grape skin and lemony lactic acidtity. Mouthfeel is light, carbonation is low to moderate, good sharp acidity, and a moderate finish. Another great fruit lambic from Cantillon. Having had this a few times, I think I actually prefer it aged as opposed to fresh. It loses some of the gentle grape character as it ages, but it becomes incredibly more sour.

Draft - White musty grape and a touch vegatle. Cloudy gold with a small white head. Green and vegatle, not my favourite.

From notes. Pour at Zwanze Day 2017 at Jolly Pumpkin on September 23. The pour is a darker golden yellow with a thick white head that falls down slowly with a couple spots of lace in wake. The aroma is pretty good. Lots of funk, grape must, oak, and tart skins. This is actually surprisingly balanced for what I was expecting. The funk and tart skin work well together. The flavor is much of the same. The grapes and funky oak balance out nicely on the back end. The mouth feel is lighter medium bodied with a nice crisp carbonation and a lingeringly grape must and oakiness abound. This is a solid brew. I am a fan of the Cantillon selection this year. Nicely done. 8 4 8 4 16

Tart aroma in a hazy gold pour. Sour taste profile is a little one dimensional and light/watery - but delicious nonetheless.

Draught. Pours hazy straw yellow with a small foamy white head. Aroma is grape, funk, wood, lemon, earth, hay, and barnyard. Taste is similar; some pepper, too. Grapes have more white wine character in the taste than in the nose. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Crisp mouthfeel. Acidity builds throughout, culminating in a spicy/acidic finish.

Pleasant notes of grapes with sour notes, floral, golden with no head, light body, soft carbonation, not too sour and very balanced, extremely refreshing...perfect.
