Vigneronne is a blending muscat grapes and lambic, the brewers and beer merchants produced the "druivenlambik" (grapes lambic). White grapes soaked in lambic. The fructose, which abounds in these fruits, enables us to make a beer which is more mellow than the Gueuze or the other fruit beers. The spontaneous fermentation, the ageing in the barrels for several years and the addition of grapes make it a distant cousin of certain white wines. Changed name from Druivenlambik in 1987.

2011 Vintage 75CL bottle. Enjoyed at home with my girlfriend.

A - Mild pop of the cork and the carbonation appears at the pour but quickly settles to appear still. No lacing at all. Cloudy blood orange color. Bronze and gold. Very cloudy.

S - Lots of Brett, horse blanket and citrus funk on the nose. Hint of balsamic vinegar.

T - Very sweet citrus. Lemon and Tangerines come to mind. Lots of oak and more sweetness at the finish like a more acidic honeysuckle taste.

M - Light body and almost no carbonation. Doesn’t linger at all.

O - It’s a lot more sour than I thought it would be but not as complex as I had hoped. Drinkable as the base lambic is so delicious but the grapes don’t add much.

Dec. ’16. On tap at Be.Re, Rome, with ippopotamo36. It poured a hazy orange body with medium sized head. Lightly sour aroma of very fine grapes with typical apple, even leather notes of lambic and some extra wood. Flavor was of course sour, but not that much, with just a little grapes blended in. White vinegar, leather, wood, hay, underripe fruit (apricot or something like that), yeast, a little bit of everything but not very rich. Medium to thin bodied with pretty long tart finish. Also, quite hard to discern which flavor came from which counterpart, but this fruit lambic is less fruity and more lambic than others in its category. Very pleasant, easy going and well made, although I might even expect more.

75cl bottle shared @ beerlovers bar. Aroma of white wine, tartness more subtle, sweet rather than acidic. Taste distinctly white wine, good combination with the soft, lightly acidic lambiek. Has a very rich, complex bitterness, like nutmeg indeed. For me it is a bit too sweet, maybe the red version will be even better.

mateuszk (2753) - Poznań, POLAND - AUG 3, 2017
Bottle. Lots of ripe grapes, horse blanket, light vinegar. In taste sweet at first with sour wild finish. Light body, fizzy carbonation, very smooth beer.

It is the most wine wine alike beer I’ve ever tasted. Tarty yet funky. Extremely drinkable.

On tap @ Koelschip Copenhagen. Murky amber with white, very thin head. Nose is citrus, white grapes, barnyard, moderately acidic, moderately funky. Taste is low on the tart side and follows the nose – lime, white grapes, horse blanket, subdued notes of mild vinegar. Zero carbonation, light to medium bodied. Very drinkable.
