Bottle @ Moeder Lambic Original. Pours clear golden with a large frothy white head. Aromas of sweet vanilla oak, pear, white grapes, melony notes, subtle phenolic notes. Taste has sweet oak, vanilla, citrus, orange, light herbal, mandarin, light rural funky notes.

Bottle at Moeder. Split with the wife. Pours a clear honey-golden color. Small but lively off-white head fades to nothing. Aromas of bread, dough, light barnyard, light horse blanket, light oxidized note into an herbal hop note. Kind of smells like an old IPA. Taste is hay, cereal, dough, light oak, light funk , light sour. A bit pedestrian and surely past its prime. Still, the Cantillon funk redeems this a bit. Medium body, lightly sweet.

750 mL bottle. Light haze, but mostly clear orange. Nose is sweet doughy breadiness. Oxidized. Some cardboard. A little citrus. Taste is brighter. Lemon and orange. Wheat breadiness again. Still oxidized. Medium light body. Soft carbonation. Never had it fresh, but I assume age has degraded this. Oxidized and kinda boring.

Bottle generously shared by Seth. Yellow pour with a white head. Lemon and cat pee bouquet. Very mild lemon notes mix with the bitterness from the hops. Interesting with muted barrel characteristics. Flutters of funk and horse blanket. Average body and mouthfeel.

750mL bottle drunk 8/13/16.
Light haze to this very pale, straw-golden body. White head atop is medium-sized and shows moderate retention.
Oh wow, what is that nose??! Intense pepper/spice shows a very robust fermentation, yet there’s nothing unwanted associated with it; no fusels, no peach/banana/cotton candy or what have you. Almost a tea-like character with light, delicate honey notes, as well. Perhaps some hops are at play here? Whatever the case, it’s very aromatic and complex and at the same time, quite delicate. No alcohol or flaw.
Very herbal, with a zesty, tight carbonation propelling pepper, grass, tea, honey and honeysuckle all about the palate, in a very drinkable and balanced way. Delicate honeysuckle character on the finish is quite distinct and highly enjoyable, and yet malt, wheat and hop also produce a very natural, easygoing, everyday drinker (I wish). Awesome stuff and seems like a witbier of old (the only thing I really have to go on is Des Rocs version which is also a traditional witbier, so I’m to understand).

Cantillon Zwanze 2010 It's a really lovely cloudy gold with an awesome aroma of wheat cream and fruits. Really interesting flavor, oaky, tart, wheat, pineapple, acidic - totally elicious stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light yellow body, small white head with long retention. Smells of grains and peppercorn and oak. Taste is wheat, leather and funk with acidity some floral notes.

750 ml bottle to teku (generously shared by Dogbones). Looks good; a somewhat hazy vibrant orange with foamy white head. Smells great! Awesome funk alongside some tartness and mild yeast. Some orange and a touch of apricot as well. Tastes like it smells, but less robust and more damp, with a mouthwatering medium light-bodied mouthfeel that finishes semi-dry. Great stuff!
