UPDATED: FEB 23, 2014 One of my least favorite Cantillon offerings, probably because it’s not a lambic and instead has this weird sweet fruit/bitter rind combo flavor that I couldn’t get into. Pass.
Bottle at the brewpub. Pours foggy amber. Aroma is light booze, malty, almond. Body is medium, quite sweet, late bitterness, low carbonation, rather inharmonic. Palate is boozy and unbalanced too. Clearly not their best. BuckeyeBoy (7534) - Boise, Idaho, USA - APR 15, 2017
750ml bottle pours out a golden copper color topped with a small head. Nose is lemon citrus zest oak barrel sour funky notes. Taste is more of the nice citrus sour oak barrel some malt sweetness and leather. JStax (6357) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - APR 13, 2017
750 ml bottle at the source. The beer is a hasy copper with a white head of foam. The aroma is doughy and grainy. Sweet honey notes. Mild tartness in the taste, but mostly sweet and doughy. Big body and moderate carbonation. FinnIckler (420) - GERMANY - APR 7, 2017
Bottle at cantillon, thanks random Americans! Pours cloudy yellow. Nose is wood, lemon, sour apple. Palate is oaky tart, white wine/white wine vinegar, some fruity notes. Good, but this came unexpected (especially because I thought I would be drinking a gueze..) mateuszk (2670) - Poznań, POLAND - OCT 5, 2016
Bottle. Pours cloudy orange with very small head. Aroma is fruity, light caramel, citric and lots of bretts. In taste fruity with toasted malt note, sour. Medium body, moderate carbonation, nice oily texture, tart and dry finish.

On tap at Redlight Redlight on 9/14/2013.
Hazy orange body. Pushing reddish. Thin collar. Not much of a head.
Acidic aroma. Very musty. A little wine-like. Malty. Seems like a slight burnt caramel aroma too.
Bright sour flavor. Wine flavors persist here. White wine. Oak. Malty again. The burnt flavors are replaced by bitterness. Grassy bitterness in the finish.
The bitterness is off-putting, as it is very strong. Not crisp like most Cantillon beers.
The bar is set so high for Cantillon, so it’s tough to objectively judge this. It’s good but definitely not up to the standards of a Cantillon fruit lambic.

Bottle at Cantillon. Aroma of barley, old hops and oak. Taste is dry and malty, bit like a sour barley wine, with old hops and lots of tart. Not the best Cantillon, but still interesting. djd07 (14366) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 11, 2016
On tap at Avenue Pub. Pours a cloudy orange with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is funk, leather, brett, lemon zest. Medium body, earth, funk, lemon, orange peel, wood, light tartness, very good. llkc (2323) - århus, DENMARK - JUN 28, 2016

Bottle at Cantillon, Brussels. Clear copper/amber beer with a nice beige head. Malty caramel aroma, grapes, tart, vinous, some floral notes. Sour fruity caramel flavor, grapes, raisins, yeasty notes, floral and herbal. Odd and not the best Zwanze.
