Poured a translucent amber with orange hues and an active, frothy head that settles to one finger on the top. Aroma is balanced between malt and American hops. Flavor is very similar with yeasty, biscuit notes more reminscent of a Belgian than an American. Mouthfeel and finish were rather fizzy, they may have gone a bit overboard on the carbonation. I’ve had worse, not many though. JaBier (7871) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - MAR 6, 2012
Bottle shared by a friend. Pours clear amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt and earthy hops. Grainy malt flavor with a bit of fruit. TaktikMTL (7739) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 18, 2007

Appearance: Very fine hue on amber color, medium white top.2+
Nose: caramel malt, crystal feel .Light but sizeable hop profile. Deeper malt feel behind. Rich lager nose.7-
Flavor/Palate : Medium full bodied. Very solid malt base. Juicy, rich with clean lighter edges. Balanced and very clean. Felt wholesome, well thought solid brew.
Bottle. Very good for a lager. Pours a hazy amber with a decent white head. Left lacing. Big, malty nose with some fruity hints to it. Flavor is rich and smooth, heavy on the sweet malts with a touch of caramel. Medium in body with mild carbonation. Some pleasant bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. I would buy again if I’m looking for something light and smooth, well made brew CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - APR 6, 2006
Hazy dark golden color with a thin covering of off-white head. Has an earthy sweet caramel malty aroma. Body starts with a touch of sweet toasty malt and a decent bittering earthy hoppy balance. Finishes lightly sticky and bittersweet. A drinkable, ok beer. PhillyCraft (7114) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 5, 2012
Not a terrible lager, not grreat either. Drinkable when your other options are inbev products. Smooth and somewhat flavored for a lager. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - MAY 5, 2013
Bottle:   Amberish, a bit hazy, thin sudsy white head, spotty lacing.   Soft grassy nose, slight biscuit.   Notes of caramel, soft soil, grains, and toasted malts on the tongue.   Seems pretty clean too.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Seems more hearty than your normal Vienna, darker, and with more caramel.   Better than expected. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 3, 2006
12 oz bottle, via Thaichile. Pours an orangish copper body under a one finger craggy off-white head. Aroma is mostly a general graininess with some toasted and a little biscuity malt. Fairly light in flavor with some biscuity malt under a moderately bitter hoppiness. Finish is short and moderately bitter. Lighter bodied and a little thin with active carbonation. An OK, but unexciting, "Amber".
