Pours a motor-oil crimson, with a finger or two of mocha head. Smells of sugary caramel and richly malted barley, with nutty pumpkin muffin and cream frosting. The taste starts rich with sugary malts, a hint of spice, pecan, creamy coffee and full pumpkin flavor. Finishes with a welcoming presence of booze, and the slight bitterness of hops and roasted malts - slightly medicinal. In my personal opinion, this pumpkin beer reigns supreme within its genre, with great balance, imposing uniqueness, and savory character.
Bottle sample, thanks troubles. Brown black. Aroma of pumpkin, winter spices, cinnamon, roast. Sweet with caramel, chocolate, roast, winter spices, soy, quite boozy. Medium-bodied, sticky. Ron (4266) - Rochester, New York, USA - JUN 12, 2016
On tap at the Brewpub. Pours near black with a beige head. Pumpkin pie and spicy aroma with some lightly roasted malts. The flavor is more roasty than the aroma, with lighter pumpkin pie spices and light chocolate. djd07 (16317) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAY 24, 2016
Bottle. Pours a dark brown with small beige head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is nutmeg and cinnamon. Medium mouth, toasted malt, good spice, boozy finish, very good. Cimbasso (1058) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 7, 2015
Sampled from the bottle in Göteborg, Sweden. Pours a very dark brown with a tan head. Spicy and roasted aromas. Very full taste of pumpkin, cinnamon, ginger, liquorice and molasses. Hints of vanilla also. Very creamy texture. This is a really tasty, well-balanced beer. Highly enjoyable! Damico (3146) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 20, 2014
Pours thick unclear black with bright beige tan reddish head. The aroma brings pumpkins, subtle spices, and warm roasty malt pumpkin pie. Flavor brings toasty pumpkin malts and some pumpkin and vanilla spice with a smooth body, especially for the ABV.

bottle as shown .. . brown liquid, has mild foam, you know .. . easy on the spice, burnt ants, and light molasses .. . a decent spiced ale
.. . . I don’t think I get enough credit for the fact that I do all of this un-medicated. gripweed57 (2981) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - JAN 31, 2014
22 ounce bottle. Pours a dense black color with a small tan head. Aroma is of roasted malt with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg and licorice. Bittersweet roasted malt flavor has obvious notes of cinnamon and dark fruits. Finish has big resiny hops. Not much pumpkin flavor, as it gets overpowered by the bigness of the stout. bmoosey (82) - Eldorado, Ohio, USA - JAN 27, 2014
Poured from a 750 ml bottle at home during a cold snowy day. One of the better pumpkin beers. Smells of pumpkin and spice. Taste is about the same. First taste is of pumpkin notes with spices and a little bitterness after. Pours a dark beer with a tan head. anthony850 (473) - Andover, New Jersey, USA - DEC 5, 2013
