Bottle at home ... Thnaks to BeerBill for this one ... Deep black thick bubbly tan head ... sweet pumpkin nose ... Pumpkin kicks through right away along with a heavy spice (cinnamon and nutmeg) ... Its only then that the roach malt with a little chocolate breaks through... the pumpkin persisit though the whole flavour profile ... Decent enough and worth the experience. omhper (25941) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - OCT 12, 2009
Bottled (brewed under license by Olde Saratoga Brewing, NY) at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Near black, mid-sized beige head. Buttey cinnamon aroma. Mid-sweet with well rounded mouthfeel. Light roastiness lies under the punpkin spices. Some butter yfat soothes it, making it feel like drinking soup base. Mild soy sauce finish with relaxed bitterness. Quite pleasant, although not overly complex. Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 18, 2008
(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of jjpm74. Clear dark brown with an orange hue and a rough, beige head. Spicy, cinnamon-like aroma with some hard roasted malts also. Medium body, quite spicy with cardamom and cinnamon showing combined with a roasty malt feel. Dry and lightly burned malt bitterness in the finish. 131108 Leighton (22769) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 15, 2009
I feel like most pumpkin beers I have are straight-ahead ales, so I was intrigued by this stout offering. And I wasn’t let down. The Pumpkin Stout has all the pumpkin deliciousness of a great fall beer, along with the richness and complexity of a strong stout. Poured a dark black with a solid beige head. In the flavor, you can certainly detect notes of coffee, chocolate and other spices, which all compliment the pumpkin quite nicely. Finishes smooth, making the whole experience amazingly good.
