Pours deep burgundy straight from the brewery. Just enough malt notes to counteract the bitterness. Stop by the brewery for an amazing tour. dansar (1) - Andover, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 27, 2006 does not count
I have found this at several pubs and restaurants in the mid-cape area (Barnstable Tavern, Scargo Cafe, Chapins). This beer has a deep amber color, is clear, pours with a fairly small but creamy head. It starts off with a taste like Bass Ale but has a more hoppy, spicy followthrough. Carbonation and body is just right. This is a great beer, would be nice to know if is available in bottles. retinadoc (236) - - AUG 29, 2013
Draft. Average carbonation with hoppy aroma. Very well finished beer, not overly hoppy or bitter. Very smooth. Clean finish. Will definitely buy again. luvpaleale (2) - - JUL 27, 2014 does not count
Enjoyed this brew recently on tap while on vacation on the cape. It was better than expected. Nice balance, malty but with a slight bite with a fragrant nose and medium color. Nice brew!

On tap at the Lobster Pot in P-Town. Came in with only minor lacing around the glass. However, the aroma is nice and the flavor is good any malty with low to moderate carbonation. A very smooth drinking amber. Just my thing! - I can’t wait to get down to the area again to pick up some more.

Had this one on draught in South Chatham, Massachusetts. A very nice, simple, malty red. Nothing complex about this one. Great after a day on the beach. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 19, 2012

Reddish amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, malty, floral and a bit caramelly as well. Flavour is fruity, mild berries, some caramel malts, ripe berries and bready malts. Sweet aftertaste.
Growler. Pours a clear brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, toffee, light roasted nuts. Flavor of rich caramel malt, roasted malt, roasted nuts, light charred malt, bitter earthy hops. Overall a roasted, malty red ale with a nice full body.

GBBF. Hazy amber beer with a few tan bubbles for a head. Palate is quite and dry and a little crisp from the mild fine carbonation. Mild juicy dried fruits, whisper of red berries. Fresh hop spice. All flavours in good balance. Fresh and fruity.
