COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For Villanova’s 175th year, Ryan Krill ’05, Chris Henke ’05, and Bob Krill of Cape May Brewing Company have brewed Demisemiseptcentennial Ale: a Pale Ale brewed with German Pilsner malt, our House Ale yeast for its clean and easy-drinking quality, and a hefty dose of Centennial hops in the whirlpool for a floral and citrusy hop aroma. This brew is a veritable Professor of Suds, unifying all Wildcats with its drinkability, brewed with the care that only Villanovans can provide, and leaves an echo ringing from Bartley to Tolentine.

On tap at the brewery.
Pours with amber color and excellent clarity. Good white head leaves sticky lacing on the glass.
Malts and hops in the nose, with amore hop forward flavor. Flavorful with mild bitterness for style.

Pours a cloudy golden color, light, sweet, floral aroma, light bitter hops with a sweet finish, metallic mouth and touch in the taste, good but not great, tap.

Bottle. Nose grainy and very biscuity, dark and has a little mop water / cleanser. Pour hazy pale yellow-golden but burnished with a little dull copper, head is larger and soapy bright white. Watery light body, heavy Pils character, sunny but metallic, still very dry and crisp, low bitterness, clean, biscuit, grainy, low pine and earth, very light herbal and floral, medium generic citrus that swirls. It’s really light, just barely kissed by great flavors, which disappoint at first but then reveal a repeatable summer quaffer -- I like it more with every sip. Pleasant surprise! [2017.07.12: 3.6]

12 ounce bottle. Hazy medium gold color. Medium -sized rocky white head. Faint toasted malt nose. Bittersweet toasted malt flavor has some grainy malt and light hops upfront. More citrusy hop notes in middle, with some complexity and notes of caramel. Dry, citrus hop finish is quite flavorful.

JFGrind (2072) - Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 25, 2017
UPDATED: FEB 26, 2017 Golden, light bodied session style APA. Only fitting Centennial hops in a beer commemorating Villanova’s Demisemiseptcentennial. Gimmicky, but if it gives Cape May Brewing more exposure then it’s a winner.
