Serving: 12 oz. bottle via trade with madbeerbaron. It pours a clear copper color with a small and short lived white head. The nose smells faintly of fresh malt and dough. The flavor highlights the malt with a little caramel and a very slight toasted note. Medium to full bodied, it’s a bit flabby on the tongue. Still, it’s a decent dopple. Bottle: Labeled as 7.8%
Pours murky orange with a minimal off-white head.
Slightly fruity aroma, caramel.
Flavour is tangy caramel malt, slightly overripe fruit...
Not too bad, but rather flat-bodied.

Bottle. Lemon, iced tea malt, and light alcohol aroma. Cloudy light amber with a small off-white head. Sweet fruity lemon, grainy/black tea malt flavor with a little alcohol bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation. shrubber85 (11570) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JAN 25, 2013
Bottle. Cardboard and lemon malt aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Corn syrup, paper and barley malt flavor. Okay but apparently an old bottle. Lemke10 (993) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 24, 2013
Pours a pale amber color with a thin and fast diminishing head. Some scents of sweet caramel malts, grainy wheat and a little lemon citrus. Packs a bold taste for a lighter colored beer. A very complex mix of malts and grains that leave a very dry taste in your mouth. Interesting to say the least.

Bottle. Pours a golden straw color with not much aroma. Flavor is sweet with a nice mouthfeel. Not bad. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - OCT 18, 2012
Bottle at friend’s party. Pours an orange color with a white head. Nose is sweet malt, some lager yeast, and a bit of booze. Flavor follows the nose with sweet malt, lager yeast, booze, and caramel. Medium in body and nice overall. jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - SEP 3, 2012
12oz bottle poured into a shaker. 2011 vintage. Pours a clear, very very dark gold with about a finger of white head. Aroma is quite sweet. Lots of caramel and toffee. Taste is heavily sweet and very light bitter. Caramel and toffee with just a hint of herbal hops. Medium bodied with a thick, sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, not bad. Surprisingly, time has been very good to this beer. I’ll have to go back and see if there are any more of these 2011s left. wlajwl (7010) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - AUG 12, 2012
Aroma is pale malts and mild fruit undertones. The flavor is mildly sweet malts, caramel and mildly tart finish. arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - JUL 19, 2012
Pour on tap, clear orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of sweet fruits, vanilla, honey, caramel, toffee, touch of yeast, hints of sweet candi sugar as well. Taste is a mix of biscuit, bread, yeast, touch of candi sugar, honey, vanilla, some sweet fruits, finishing fairly sweet, slight boozy. Decent but nothing special.
