pours a hazy straw gold with a thick frothy white head. Aroma is light lemon citrus. Taste is bright, sweet at first then ever so slightly bitter. Fairly clean finish with a tiny bit of bitter linger. A nice, sessionable IPA. Good beer!
12 oz bottle. (Festival Foods) La Crosse, WI.GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - JUN 8, 2016
Cloudy golden color with a small off-white head.
Yeast, fruity hops, sweetness, spices and some malt in the aroma.
The flavor is yeast, spices, wheat, sweet fruity hops and mild bitterness.
A bit messy White IPA.
Tap at Capital in Middleton, WI. Opaque gold pour with okay foam. Sweet tea nose, worty, perfumey. Taste is dense and heavy like most of Capital’s beers, with a minerally, chalky palate. Flavors of celery, bitter orange rind, perfume, slight chemical tinge combine for one big mess. JPDIPSO (6286) - Wauwatosa, USA - APR 29, 2016
Lightly hazed, light golden liquid. Taller light canvas colored head. As I was putting down my notes I saw Madvike’s deScription of this one he nail it. I have little to add. 5/14

Aroma is mild with a bit of hops and malt. Appearance is a dirty amber with a fairly long lasting head. Flavor’s stale hops, malt, bittersweet with a little tang. Off flavors in the finish. mfhennig (286) - McHenry County, Illinois, USA - DEC 1, 2015
Surprisingly good IA that doesn’t have the word Imperial or double upfront. Looks good, smells good, tastes good. What’s not to like!

12 oz. bottle poured to a shaker at the Shoreline Restaurant bar in Gills Rock, WI. Showed a hazed, orangey gold color, with an off white head that changed into a persistent, rocky layer, and spiraling spray as lacing. The nose was initially dank, then notes of pit fruit as peach, and some citrus, Medium bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste added a medium citrus & rind bitterness that lingered. Flavorful, but didn’t really sense the Wit yeast or spicing that is indicative of this style of IPA. Travlr (26065) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 9, 2015
Draft at the source. Hazy straw color. Aroma of light citrus and raw bread. Taste is bready citrus and light butter. johnnymusky (1004) - Minnesota, USA - AUG 7, 2015

12 ounce bottle
A typical release from Capital Brewing continues to demonstrate their flexibility. On par with a umber of other white IPAs, this deserves a singles purchase if you like exploring what the Midwestern take on this emerging style has evolved into.
Aroma / Appearance - A golden base absorbs light like a light champagne complete with bubbly carbonation. Yeasty white pepper, light pleasant hops, coriander, and lemon give this a pleasant spring feel.
Flavor / Palate - A light salty bitterness morphs into dry yeast and white custard. Summery and spicy, it provides a full experience from start to finish. I’m not sure I would want a six pack around but if I still lived in Madison the occasional draft on a hot summer day would be very refreshing.
