COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is the first trial of a Cream Ale that has an infusion of hops added to it in the lagering stage. We are trying to create a beer where the aroma and flavor are very hop forward, yet the finish remains smooth and non-bitter.

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2012 Looks like a cream ale, smells like an ipa. Taste is slightly hoppy, but not bitter. Very drinkable, hope they continue experimenting with this brew.

Bottle poured a clear golden amber with a lasting ivory head. Aromas of crackers, earthiness, light straw and a hint of citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish., Flavors of straw, biscuit and light earthiness with a crisp dry finish.

From the sounds of the commercial description, this sounds like it’s supposed to be something of a hybrid IPA and a cream ale and I’d say that’s a reasonable enough description. It is a pale orange color w/ a large frothy head. The nose is mostly floral American hops w/ a twinge of grapefruit rind citrus in the background. Baby-powder-like lavender notes come out once it’s tasted and are complimented by a mild sweetness and clean malt backbone. This works pretty well overall but the bitterness in the finish--while in balance--is a touch metallic which hurts drinkability somewhat. This is is still a pretty good beer though.

Bottle. Pours pale orange color with a quick head that dissipates and leaves a thin ring around glass. Aroma is faded earthy hops and smooth malt. Taste has a faint hop taste upfront and a bit of pepper with a smooth malty finish. Palate is thin and dry.

very lacking aroma, some tiny hints of floral hops. Taste is has medium sweetness with lingering hoppyness. Decent brew but extremely easy

No aroma (though the environment wasn’t the best). Nice dark golden colour that was not opaque and not cloudy, but obscured my fingers on the other side of the glass. The body is great, not too thick for a hoppy beer but it had some meat on it. It’s a bit one-dimensional, the hops hit your tongue right away and they give a long finish. There isn’t much else there, but overall it’s pleasant.

Bottle. Orange with nice fluffy head. Looks like an IPA. Tastes like they just added some hops at the end. Not bitter but very little citrus aroma. Creamy on the palate. Overall I'm not a fan but it feels like the got what they wanted in the name. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bonus courtesy of GhostFace. The 12oz bottle pours clear copper with gold edges and white head. The mild aroma delivers a thin mix of sweet citrus hard candy and a malt breadiness. The taste has some sweet malts running into a modest level of earthy to citrus hop bitterness and then a mild earthy tea like sensation. Nice Pale Ale like hoppiness.

12oz bottle courtesy of GhostFace. Cheers, Neal! What an awesome session beer. Pours a hazy orange- gold with a white head. Nose is light malt with grassy/ herbal hops, floral hops, and some light yeast. Flavor is light malt and grassy and herbal hops, light lemon, and some yeast. Light in body and very sessionable. Nice flavor burst with lingering yeast and hops in the finish.

Bottle from singles rack at local grocer...pours a foggy yellow with thin while head. Hoppy nose and initial taste....a little bitter at end...not what I’d expect in a crean ale but I like it...will be back
