A bock beer with a beautiful, deep golden hue. Very smooth, this beer has great depth of character, and is an excellent beer to celebrate the end of winter and beginning of spring. Available February through April.

Bottle share at Evernote in Redwood City, CA. Malt, honey and apple juice on the nose... an especially refreshing mix of malt and earthy apple flavors.

Very Flavorful, slight bitterness at end. Floral. I am new to many beers, but theis may be a new favorite. Color is a pale gold. Beer is ever so slightly heavy, but it adds to the rich flavor of the beer

pours a clear deep gold to light amber with a medium off white head. aroma is malt, hay, grass. good malt character. semi sweet with just a whisper of hop bitter. fairly crisp, not syrupy like many bocks. Pretty quick somewhat dry finish. Good beer.

(Backlog) Bottle of fantasy tasting at Pauls. Golden pour with white head. Light malt, and sweetness, with a touch of spice tones, ugh.

A very nice springtime beer. Some hops on nose, citrus, but also toasty bread. Flavors of bread, barley, and a little caramel on the palate. Finishes clean with a nice little bit of hop character.

UPDATED: APR 4, 2014 12 oz bottle poured into a shaker. A doughy, buttery biscuit-like aroma comes off the pour. This subsides a bit and is joined by a light citrus and peach fruitiness. I was also able to pick up some light vanilla notes, and something that resembled dutch apple pie. A hint of a floral quality comes through late as well as a buttery caramel syrup. The beer pours a clear golden orange with a soft, off-white head that reduces to a dishwater thin layer by the end; it does leave an average lacing along the glass. The taste is a medium sweetness with a light / medium-light roasty bitterness that appears only at the finish. The medium bodied beer has an average amounts of soft carbonation (maybe a bit on the flat side) that helps the thinner texture to have a bit of a creamy quality to it. The mouth is mostly a fruity, juicy sweetness a mild roasted nut and grassy finish. Theres a touch of dryness right at the finish, but the aftertaste is mostly juicy - a very light, mellow grassy and resin aftertaste ends up being mostly a mild buttered biscuit taste after awhile.
