3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours clear, light copper-gold. Amber tinged white head, like soft whipped cream, receded slowly, leaving a full white cap. Aroma out was nicely floral, herbal, citrus for a brief moment, then it was gone, leaving a slightly yeasty aroma. Initial flavor is slightly sweet, a modest hop bitter emerges with the sweet, and finishes slightly peppery. A little more body than some. Simple, clean, no complaints. ("Crossovert" ’s discription is very interesting).
Picked up single 12-oz bottle from Riley’s Wines of the World in Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear golden amber colored brew with an average sized off-white head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind some excellent lacing. Aroma of caramel malt with some floral and light citrus. Taste is medium bodied with flavors of caramel malt with a hint of floral and citrus hops Finish is semi-sweet with a caramel malt aftertaste and a mild hop bitterness. Nothing spectacular that could knock your average hophead’s socks off, but more of a hoppy amber ale overall. jjgmd (2220) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - JUL 19, 2016
Pours a light rusty golden color with a short beige ephemeral head . Nose is mildly hoppy but all in all not an aroma buster . Taste is light citrus, mildly hoppy with some trailing sweetness. Finishes bitterly with nice lacing and on the same tasting notes. Descent ! Quaff Score 7 /10 dutch23mp (317) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - JUN 12, 2016
Average IPA not bad but not outstanding either hints of citrus balance is a bit off. ccex (1351) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 29, 2016
12 oz. can pours a clear golden/orange with big fluffy white head that leaves some lacing clumps. Aroma is mostly stale bready malts with a bit of floral hops and some grass. Taste is slightly bitter at first, but the cardboard and caramel middle dominates. Finish is short and dry. Light to medium body with average carbonation and a slightly sticky mouthfeel. A below-average IPA from a brewery that I keep trying no matter how many times they have disappointed me. Not bad, given the discounted price, but not very memorable, either. Pours a bright, slightly hazy golden with a medium white head that lasts a long time. The aroma is more subdued and is a bit sweet, with orange, citrus hops, pine, and grapefruit. The taste gives you orange citrus upfront, which than extends into a grainy tasting mediocrity. There is a little bit of pineapple, grapefruit, and some metal tastes as well. Short grainy aftertaste. Medium bodied, a somewhat bubbly texture, and fizzy carbonation. I’m wasn’t impressed.

Bottle. Pours a near clear orange but has a ton of sediment and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a bit of pine with a strong grass note and a decent amount of sweet grains. Flavor is similar with lots of grass and some sweet grains and a slight pine bite. ryanfolty (2585) - Bourbon County, Minnesota, USA - OCT 17, 2015
October 17, 2015 - sample via bottle at Barrels and Bacon. Golden pour. Grain and citrus / floral hops. thegreenrooster (4516) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - AUG 15, 2015
Pour is a clear orange with a large white head. Aroma is an ok hop not striking but there. Flavor is more a caramel malt with a very minor hop in the backround. Finish is a heavy dose of malt. It had a minor hop presence so it was not awful but in the large world of IPA’s you have to go all out and this did not. johnnymusky (983) - Minnesota, USA - AUG 7, 2015

Bright amber hue with an upfront florally citrus aroma. Didn’t blow me away, but it wasn’t bad either.
