A decent if not great pilsner. Bottle maybe a little old. Pale yellow, sweet, grainy, with some noble hops. gripweed57 (2462) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - APR 28, 2017
From old tasting notes. Labeled as "Garten Brau Special". Deep, brassy gold color. Tart malty nose. Crisp dry hop flavor. Very much like a German Pilsner. drpimento (3639) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 22, 2016
Aroma is wet grain and some malt. Flavor is carbonic tang up front followed my malt sweetness. Sweet German Pilsner? Can’t remember having had one. This isn’t for me. Mildly sweet finish. shrubber85 (11408) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - AUG 15, 2015
Bottle. Milky barley malt and straw aroma. Golden yellow with giant white head. Sweet light citrus, milky barley malt, and lightly bitter herbal hay flavor. Good body. Pretty good - nice malt flavor. Patrickctenchi (6590) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - JUL 12, 2015
Pours clear, pale gold with a foamy white head.
Grain, a touch of honey in the scent.
Taste is grain malt, sweet....again a slight honeyed tone...nicely malty.
A little heavier and sweeter than most pilsners....less bitter.
Nothing exciting, but it gets high marks for just being a good, simple beer....this would make a great everyday choice.

12oz bottle. Filtered orange-tan body. A little heavy on the body for a Pils in my estimation. Bready, slightly grainy malt tones. Mellow, classic, zesty noble hop balance. Not really a great example of the style, but drinkable enough. Grew on me as I drank it. OK. notalush (5878) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 17, 2014
Clear gold with a light ring of lace - not much carbonation to speak of in the body - crisp maltiness and a fairly snappy mineral kick in the nose, along with some lightly pungent hoppiness - light body - a light froth in the mouth, but it really needs more lively carbonation, as it is mostly kind of limp in that department - flavor is nice - crisp, crackery malts, followed by light honey pils maltiness, spicy hops, and a light mineral bite on the tail end - it’s a solid recipe that needs somewhat better execution and higher carbonation. An average pilsner, very easy to drink. Aroma is mainly wheat, a little pine note from the hops. Overall, very balanced beer, not much for complexity. dekester1 (366) - Town of Maple Creek, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 9, 2014
Poured a light gold with minimal head and lacing. Aroma was of piney and floral hops with a slight breadiness. Taste had a malt backbone surrounded by floral/pine hop moderate bitterness. Mouth was average at best. Overall, a decent by not exceptional pils. haddon90 (1634) - Newport Beach, California, USA - JUN 11, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear, dark golden color with little to no head. Malty aroma with a hint of lemon zest. Light, crisp flavor with some lemon and malt. Not too bad of a beer to have on a nice, lazy, hot summer day.
