Reviewed from notes (fresh bottle at the time).
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy dark gold to amber color with a white foamy finger’s worth of head.
The aroma had some cream and pumpkin sweetness. Some caramel and biscuit-like malts play underneath. Light spice, somewhat like ginger and clove, a touch of allspice.
The flavor leads with the pumpkin sweetness and brings in the spices ever so slightly. Some earthiness, and toffee with a touch of butterscotch comes in slightly. Creamy sort of pumpkin sweet aftertaste riding on into the finish.
The feel was about medium bodied, helped with a sturdier malt base I noticed in the aroma and flavor. Good carbonation. ABV felt just right too.
Overall, wish I lived in the distro of this beer, as I would probably be buying this every Autumn. arkurzynski (2446) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 11, 2017
Orange. Nose of cinnamon, all spice, and sweet crystal malt. Flavor is more spice, sweet, caramel, and some diacetyl. fidelis83 (2482) - Clinton, Iowa, USA - JAN 8, 2016
Hazy dark gold to amber pour with a thin white head. Aroma is loaded with lactose and pie spice, some biscuit and caramel and just a hint of sweet pumpkin. Flavor is pumpkin pie spice, heavy on ginger, clove and especially cinnamon, some earthy and sweet pumpkin, biscuit, pale caramel and some interesting savory buttery toffee. Creamy to chewy feel, medium body, medium carbonation. Pretty good, spice heavy, pumpkin beer. jmohno (1642) - Iowa, USA - SEP 26, 2015
Wrex? Just pumpkinataur on my bomber. The aroma is just like pumking. Sweet graham pumkin spices and a bigger note of vanilla. Kind of orangey fruit and oaky. More nutmeg than cinnamon or ginger. Really nice. Best pumpkin aroma ever so far.Taste is same but a little milder, definatly more on vanilla side with orange and almost coriander like spice. Hint of ginger and cinnamon. Nice body, right amount of sweetness for a pumkin. Very enjoyable but man this is like a pumking clone almost, could even be better. Palate was really good but as it warms it got a bit thin. rxeight (3188) - Illinois, USA - OCT 11, 2014
Glowing orange pour. This one is kind of intense. Lots of cinnamon, some vanilla. Not bad, but I prefer a little more of a subtile pumpkin beer.

Bottle:   Overall a nice spiced Autumn seasonal that has a bit of tartness to it, which balances with the sweetness.   Clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon, with a bit more clove and nutmeg.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Tangy and spicy on the finish, with a touch of tartness.   Seems to have a little lemon twist to it too.   Pretty tasty! wlajwl (6950) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - FEB 1, 2014
Aroma is pumpkins, cinnamon and spices/heat. The flavor is pumpkins, yams, spices, malts and a big tangy/sweetness in the finish. PGHbeer77 (571) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 23, 2013
10/23/13 trade from Jamil. A tasty, spiced pumpkin. Buttery pumpkin pie scent with a pretty bronze pour, but a slightly thin feel. Big spicy nutmeg and cinnamon flavor to fruity apple an pumpkin notes.

Bomber. Poured medium orange with a short, sticky off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet vanilla, nutmeg, and pumpkin meat with some odd tangy character around (not sure what it was.. not quite medicinal, but not great). The flavor found tart apple skins and light oak-like character upfront.. grainy throughout.. nutmeg, ginger, and related pie spice throughout (in a good way).. meatier pumpkin meat and the aforementioned spices on the long finish. Medium-bodied with full-ish carbonation on the palate.. a bit grainier than I’d like.. overall this got better as it progressed. Dament (3) - Seaside, California, USA - AUG 19, 2013 does not count
A really good seasonal from the Capital Brewery and a relatively new addition!
