A classic Wisconsin Lager at its finest. Harking back to an era where Supper Clubs were In Vogue and Wisconsin had numerous regional breweries making their version of American Style Lagers. You know, back when these types of beers exhibited regional soul. And many of these beers were enjoyed during an evening spent at a local Supper Club, visiting with friends and family and having a good dinner. Supper Club is an eminently drinkable version of a true American Lager. Featuring a greater depth of refreshing malt character than the mass marketed versions of the style, Supper Club is clean yet satisfying.

Smells like you opened a can of white label "beer" no exceptional notes of anything exciting. Appearance is pleasing with a nice two inch head that remainsfor some time. Slides smoothly across the palate, with a lingering bready note on the end. The initial taste is clean, with a slightly hopped middle and a bready backside. Overall a good easy drinking beer, comparable to main line mass produced beers.

3/20/15 (Bottle) - Light golden pour, nice pillow head, mild carbonation. Not much aroma. Mile malt taste and feel. Meh.

Pours a rich straw gold with a medium semi lacy head. Aroma is hay/grass. Taste is clean. Nice malt balance with moderate sweetness. Brief dry finish. Not much aftertaste. Not my style, but pleasant and refreshing.

Bottle poured a clear gold with a small lingering white head. Aromas of bread, earthiness, light yeast and a hint of fruitiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of bread, toasted malt and light yeast with a crisp finish.

Pours a pale yellow with a thick white head from the bottle that dissipates quickly. Notes a barley in the aroma. No lacing in the glass. Taste is a nice clean lager with a light mouthfeel. Light carbonation in the mouth. Taste is kind of like a light beer. Very nice clean finish.

From a can poured in a lager glass. Initial slightly sharp bite that is just enough to make it taste quenching. Mellows out into a superbly well balanced lager. Great all-around lawnmower beer. One of the best. Will have to pick some of this up.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Theres an initial burst of lemon on the nose, but this fades quickly and gives way to a crusty bread note. Theres also hints of damp cardboard, and a sugary candy caramel. It pours a clear, effervescent, yellow orange color with an active, soda-like, white head that evaporated very quickly. Small bubbles continue to stream up, but they burst almost as soon as they hit the surface. A very thin, soapy ring is left behind with a clear surface, and no lace. Its a medium-high, syrupy sweetness with a light bitter note to mellow it out some. The slick, waxy texture has an above average amount of soft, fuzzy carbonation and a medium malty body. Notes of mineral water, a dry, sweet, white wine are noted on the tongue. Some caramel and toasted bread come through more on the finish. The aftertaste keeps the bread and the minerals lingering and the caramel becomes more honey-like.

Can from Binnys, drunk 4/18/14
Not much head to speak of. White cluster of bubbles runs for the edges. Clear waxy-yellow looking body is well-carbonated.
Clean, at least, is the nose. Very little hop character to speak of, but I guess thats what theyre going for. Maybe a touch of pepperiness. Mostly just white bread sugars from the malt. Touch of vanilla light mineral.
Fairly watery, again mostly clean, with some waxiness and vanilla that are perhaps a bit unwanted but none of the majors offenders of the style; dms, diacetyl, acetaldehyde, etc...Well-attenuated and certainly quite drinkable. I guess I was expecting something a little more characterful from Capital, since their other beers are so delicious, but this is what its billed as and you cant fault it for that.

A very easy drinking lager that represent a good night out at a supper club in WI. Nice amount of hops but enough malt character to balance this lager out. Very clean tasting.
