Bottle poured a clear gold with a small lingering white head. Aromas of bread, earthiness, light yeast and a hint of fruitiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of bread, toasted malt and light yeast with a crisp finish. Drake (14078) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 22, 2011
12 ounce bottle from Woodmans Madison West. Pours a clear gold with note much of a head. Aroma of grainy, honey and very faint hop notes. The taste is sweet malts, some toastiness, grain, faintly hoppy finish. Thin bodied. It’s be nice if this had a hop cone or two in it, but its not bad. Bit too sweet. crossovert (13914) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 14, 2011
Boring. One word sums up this beer. It is a pale gold with notes of diacetyl and weak grian. slowrunner77 (12895) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 13, 2017
Clear golden color. Sweet cereals grains in the nose and flavor. Not much else. Non offensive but boring.

clear yellow, white head. quite typical lager aroma, with a hint of citrus. Flavor is like a pale lager, malty, also with faint cereral, mild hopping, and euro hops. in fact, many european macro lagers taste same or better. This has some extra malts going for it, but the cereral flavor reminds me of cheap spanish non alc. beers. deyholla (12307) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAR 16, 2013
Can thanks to Sarah! Pours a pale yellow with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount sweet grains and cereal with not much of a hop presence. Flavor is similarly sweet with cereal and sweet grains. A bit one note overall. shrubber85 (11618) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - OCT 12, 2013
Can. Corn and barley malt aroma. Golden yellow with large white head. Sweet corn/barley malt and hay flavor. Okay - this is exactly what Wisconsin needed - another mediocre pale lager. BVery (11364) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - JAN 20, 2011
UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Bottle. Wow - I’m impressed. This is a great example of perfecting a (in this case, disadvantaged) style of beer. What can you really do with a Pale Lager? Well, this, for example. Clear yellow-gold pour with a minimal white head. Nice aroma of sweet caramel and malt. Carbonation is perfect. Light on the tongue, but not extremely watery. Simple yet pleasant taste of grain/grass and malt. And absolutely nothing off-putting about this. Kudos, Capital - you nailed this one. Bottle from PUB’R. Pours pale gold, a tad hazy, with white head. Nose is hopcitrus, mild fruit. Tasted of bready pale malt, hopcitrus, a bit simplistic in flavor.
