Draft in the brewery beer garden. Prototypical APA visuals. Drinks with a bit of a malty bite up front, and just a bit of light fruit. Great option for the beer garden. (#5135, 7/4/2013) Fredis23 (568) - Hickory Hills, Illinois, USA - JUN 11, 2013
Amber Color, Big Bubbly Head, Lots Of Lacing. Very Light Pine Scent. Thin and watery with hoppy finish. Refreshing and good thirst quencher. Decent overall. jmcgavin12 (492) - Madison, USA - JUN 7, 2013
Light hoppy aroma with a bit of malt sweetness on the nose. Pretty light and very drinkable. A great beer for the summer CardsPackHawks (173) - South Elgin, Illinois, USA - MAY 30, 2013
I enjoy many of the brews from Capital and I added this to my sampler 6 pack during my last visit to the brewery. This pale ale is OK, but nothing to write home about. There are many other offerings from Capital that I prefer more. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - MAY 5, 2013
Yellow-orange with a white head. Aroma is fairly hoppy with some pine and orange citrus notes mixed in with some bready malt. Flavor is full of orange citrus and bread. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Can thanks to Sarah! Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice combination of pine and grassy hops with a touch of citrus and a nice light grain backing. Flavor is much more mild with just a bit of grass and a bit of sweet grains. ccex (1350) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 15, 2012
12 oz bottle pours an almost clear orange with small white head but good lacing. Aroma is of piney and citrus hops with a good caramel malt backbone, but nothing overpowering. Flavor is malty without much of a finish. Light to medium body. A good APA but nothing I’ll remember. 3fourths (9357) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 10, 2012

clear amber with thick lacing.
buttery and infected and oily.
candy corn malt.
acidic and grainy and coarse.
Bottle from sampler rack at PW. Pours clear golden orange with thin white head. Mildly hoppy, floral nose. Initial taste isn’t as bitter / hoppy as you’d usually expect from a typical pale. Not bad but far from outstanding...pleasant. rondphoto (4489) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - JUN 24, 2012
Clear medium amber with a persistent head and splashes of lace. The taste is a crisp, clean caramel malt, followed with a light, but clear, hop finish. Doesn’t sound like much, but it makes a fine, easy-drinking brew. Don’t expect the world, just a good easy-drinking beer. Recommended.
