A little too thin and carbonated for me -- it’s like drinking amber pop. Schroppfy (2360) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - AUG 24, 2002
Very nice. Definitely along the Vienna lines of amber than either a hopped up west coast version or a unique eastern, balanced gem like Ithaca. Pretty similar to Lakefront’s Riverwest Stein, and has quality written all over it in its handling of the malts. Hops are there, but minimally. A bit thin and clear. redlem (1306) - Ohio, USA - JAN 23, 2003
UPDATED: FEB 11, 2003 Great orange color, nice head, crystal clear. Does not have the malt taste like a true Vienna, so it is not as heavy. Not as good or as true to the style as Lakefront or Great Lakes. This is a great six pack beer.
rerate: Had a bottle from their summer tour pack and the one thing I noticed that I can not believe I missed was the pine aroma. It was like walking in a big evergreen forest. I dont know if this bottle was fresher than the 6-pack I had previously to get such a strong pine aroma. If it is then this would not make a good session beer as the pine aroma would be too much to handle for more than a couple of them. SubstanceT (1092) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - OCT 29, 2003
Wow what a cascade. Darker in colour with a nice frothy tan head. Obvious malts in the nose with a clean, somewhat one dimensional, malty kinda hoppy kinda caramely flavour. Overall quite delightfull and fun.

Thanks to slikwily for this fine extra. Nice amber body with significant carbonation and an off-white head. Aroma of sweet toasted malts, spices, nuts, herbs, and a hint of fruit. Nicely balanced malt, spice, fruity acidity, and a touch of bitterness. Palate is very even and smooth. This would make an excellent session brew. My 2nd favorite Vienna to date.

(bottle sample) Pours a pretty copper color with a fast disappearing thin head. Aroma is very hoppy. The flavor I expected from the aroma was amalty monster but is somewhat tempered by a suprising sweetness. Not my favorite Capital brew, but very enjoyable. TheGuy (653) - Illinois, USA - MAY 1, 2008

Got a six pack for Christmas, a very good beer. you get the nice hops bitterness, yet its still a little sweet. A nice drinkable beer that makes the palate dance. The aftertaste was also very good. uckelman (789) - Durham, ENGLAND - MAR 11, 2010
Amber in color. (Duh.) Crystal clear. lightly floral, grainy aroma. Full mouthfeel. Neither sweet nor bitter. Quite nice.
