Tap at the Capitol Hill location.wilkie (1208) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - OCT 18, 2006
Pours incredibly light clear yellow with a small white head. There is essentially no aroma here, just a dry, bready flavor with some spicy hop whispers and some dusty hay.
While is not an amazing beer, nor is it so bad. On a previous encounter, on a 100-degree summer day, I found this quite a nice thirst quencher.
Draught. Very pale, white head. Aroma is very weak malt. FLavor is similar. Not a Koelsch. This is obviously the beer on tap for Bud drinkers. PorterPounder (7970) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 15, 2006
On tap at the brewpub in DC - NY Avenue location. Light golden pour, good bubble action, tight white head. Neutral aroma. Buttery flavor, some sweet creamy notes. Thickish mouthfeel. Very decent brewpub Kolsch. molassesfan (202) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - OCT 12, 2006
Draft at Capitol City Union Station. Pours gold with little white head. Aroma of wheat and biscuits but with a bit of pale lager smell. Taste is like a pilsner with some faint wheat character, tastes like 18% wheat just as it says. Bittersweet finish. Not bad, but had the least to offer of the Capitol City brews that I tried. Draft @ Capitol City downtown
Pale yellow, thick white head, lots of lacing. Malty nose, spicy witha rich husk and biscuity character. The flavor is moderately bitter with a light sweet malty undertone. Finishes musky, not a bad kolsch.

Light golden body with a white head. Grainy aroma, very light hops. Tast of wheat and light fruits. Semi-sweet ending. maniac (3800) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - AUG 25, 2006
Clear yellow body with a small white head. Sweet honey aroma. Sweet honey flavor with some light grassy hops. Ungstrup (37632) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 24, 2006
My first ever DC beer. A light yellow beer with a thin lazing white head. The aroma has strong notes of lemon, which makes it nicely fresh. And the flavor is also a fresh lemony on a light malted back ground, and with a thin body. I find it very German in the interpretation. It is very easily drinkable after having wandered around DC in 30 degrees Centigrade and 85% humidity. black (1) - USA - JUL 20, 2006 does not count
I am a frequent visitor to this pub and I enjoy the Kolsch. This beer starts very clean with a nice malt dryness and finishes with earthy hop notes. I have never tasted diacetyl in any of the beers at cap city bmore and especially not this one. I would recommend this beer to anyone who wants a refreshing and tasty brew. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 19, 2006
On tap, Downtown location, 2006 RBSG pubcrawl. Pours a pale yellow with a small fizzy white head. Moderate visible carbonation. Aroma is lightly bready malt and some light grassy hops. Flavor is quite bitter with some crackery malt and a crisp finish with some light fruitiness. Mouthfeel is thin and watery with fizzy prickly carbonation. Overall, this was not bad, fairly crisp and biting.
