From tap at the DC location. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is grassy and light cornish. Grassy, bitter and light cornish. Dry and grassy finish. Ungstrup (37924) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 24, 2006
My first ever DC beer. A light yellow beer with a thin lazing white head. The aroma has strong notes of lemon, which makes it nicely fresh. And the flavor is also a fresh lemony on a light malted back ground, and with a thin body. I find it very German in the interpretation. It is very easily drinkable after having wandered around DC in 30 degrees Centigrade and 85% humidity. anders37 (26734) - Malmö, SWEDEN - AUG 14, 2011
Draft @ the Capital Hill location. Pours a clear yellow color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty grainy aroma. Fruity dry malty grainy flavor with weak hoppy hints. Has a dry grainy finish. Travlr (25268) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 4, 2013
Draft at the source. Clear golden yellow color, medium whitebhead. Aroma of hay, light apple. Taste is bitter straw. Light body. More boring than your average koelsch. fiulijn (20806) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 25, 2007

Pale blond color; creamy head. It has delicate hoppy aroma, but light; the mouthfeel is quite dry, the body is light, but there is a pleasant crispy malt and a good bitterness level. Good and refreshing.

Blond color. Simple aroma and flavor, but at least the flavor is crispy. If just they used more hops…
Draught at the brewpub. No aroma to speak of. Clear shiny yellow colour. Small white head. Good malty flavour with a hint of fine hops. Faint hint of sourness in the finish, but not problematic. Not as clean and crisp as a real Kölsch, but OK. bhensonb (15352) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 2, 2017

UPDATED: MAR 15, 2010 A pale blonde kolsch with a very thin white head. In aroma, light malt with strong chlorine (maybe from the washing). In mouth, a nice clean crisp kolsch with smooth hops, tingly and quaffable. On tap at brewpub, Feb. 26 2010. Drake (13954) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 5, 2009
