This lager like ale is modeled after the official beer of Köln, Germany. Kolsch is delicate and refreshing with a slight fruitiness and supportive, yet unobtrusive hop bitterness

On tap at Capitol City, Downtown location in July 2006. Pale straw colour. Not too much to it but clean and crisp. Refreshing on the palate. Just a slight, gentle underlying hop bite. I’m not often a big fan of these brewpub Kolsch efforts but this one hit the mark well enough.

Draft sampler at the Capitol Hill location on July 11, 2009--I just found my old notes. Pale yellow color, bold but cheap-smelling grainy nose, pleasant if rather light sweet tangy flavor. Just might be serviceable for quick hot weather quaffing.

Tap. Pours crystal clear pale golden, small white head, good lacing. Aroma is grassy, bread, a bit vegetal. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, again a bit vegetal, Cheerios. Light body. But bad for style.

Clear yellow appearance. Very much like a pale lager with some weak malts. Not overly impressive.
