3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
At tap at the beer pub. Called El Dorado. Copper with thin offwhite head. Aroma is fairly light - bready malt, citrus and pine. Bitter from start to finish; a bit too bitey. Body is just a bit shy of moderate. Good carbonation. Overall, just average.
Draft. Dark gold color. Good aroma of citrus and floral hop. Medium light bitterness. Crisp and a easier ipa to drink because of the mildness. Pine, citrus taste. Not bad. Won’t please a hophead though. anders37 (26878) - Malmö, SWEDEN - AUG 14, 2011
Draft @ the Capital Hill location. Pours an orange color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy grapefruit aroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter grapefruit flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter finish. chibuck (3513) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 30, 2011
Flew into Baltimore for a wedding so of course I had to drive to DC to get my DC tick on. This beer was recommended by the bar tender. On tap into a huge heavy glass goblet...Pours a very dark orange, copper hints. A light tan head, poor retention and lacing...The aroma is very malty, tons of caramel, fresh wet hosp of the piney variety. As it warms some nice grapefruit aromas come through. Not bad at all...The taste isn’t as impressive but fairly decent, again a very sweet ipa, this reminds me of a weak dipa. A weird metallic finish sucks.
A good pick if you’re trying to tick DC, but nothing worth trying otherwise. hayduke (5619) - Eureka, California, USA - MAR 11, 2011
From a draft pour at the downtown location of the brewpub. Came in the dimpled glass s cloudy orange color with a foamy white head and light lacing. Nose of floral, pine, and citrus hops on top of caramel malts. Medium body and a nice creamy mouthfeel. The flavor is very tasty with a good balance of malts and hops, with cirrus and fruit dominating. Long dry bitter finish. Good.

2/20/11. On tap. Such a cloudy orange pour you’d think its a hefe or wit, with a small creamy eggshell head that sticks and laces a ton. Big grassy and piney hops with a smooth bit bitter flavor that lingers with quite tasty fresh hop flavor. Easily their second best behind Fuel. Bartender said it was new, an unfiltered IPA with plenty of hops character, slightly cloudy Amber color, very bitter, with no head or lacing but plenty of Taste from start to finish
