Our American style pale ale is medium to full bodied with an assertive hop bitterness and aroma. The flavor and fragrance of American hops mush with a strong malt backbone.

On tap at the brewery.....I really like this one! You taste the quality ingredients in this one....great malts allowed this beer to start a little sweet and the killer hops lead to a nice bitter finish....Well balanced and bold....beautiful amber colouring with ’hoppy’ aroma....I’m craving more but I’m nowhere near D.C......very good!

Taps clear golden amber with a minimal eggshell head. Aroma delivers subtle malty character - nothing else. Give it a chance. Flavor far exceeds the aroma, strongly evergreen hops and fresh malt plus a citrus underpinning. Mouthfeel offers decent body and jazzy fizz. Pale rider, pale beer.

FROTHINGSLOSH (7944) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 3, 2017
Sampled on draft the brewpub this beer poured a golden amber color with a medium sized foamy yellow-white head that left great lacing. The aroma was faint fruity hops and a bit of butter. The flavor was sweetish, buttery and mildly bitter with a fruity hop note. Long buttery and fruity finish. Medium body. Meh.

Tap at the D.C. venue. Pours dark gold with a white head. Aroma of citrus and roasty malt. Malt is not obscured by hop - which is plentiful. Decently bitter. But malty.

Another good beer with nothing wrong but nothing outstanding. All of their core beers have a similar theme - good flavor but not memorable.

RedSox2004 (1944) - Pacific Palisades, California, USA - FEB 8, 2017
On tap downtown. Gold / amber with a slight haze, off-white head and nice lace. Aromas of grapefruit, apple and toffee. Mild citrus flavors with slight honey and bread sweetness. Medium body and carbonation, soft mouthfeel and a dry finish.

Bamsen78 (5487) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - OCT 21, 2016
Draught @ the brewpub, Downtown DC. Pours clear dark amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, yeast and caramel. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt, mwith bready and estery touches, and notes of hops. Bitter and somewhat bready aftertaste. Okay but not a typical pale ale.

Tried on draft. Good beer - clean, tasty, good aroma and aftertaste. Not too bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

4 oz pour on draft at Capitol City Shirlington. Clear golden orange with off-white head. Aromas of light citrus, biscuit. Tastes of citrus, toasty notes, biscuit, floral. Medium body with a dry finish.

On tap at downtown location. Orange body with sight head. Nose is malty, spicy, caramel. Taste is hops, and floral. Oily texture. Pretty good.

Draft sampler at Capitol Hill location on July 11, 2009. Dark golden color with a hint of amber, sweet and hoppy aroma, nicely balanced malt and hop flavor for the most part, with hops becoming more prominent as the glass warms. Could be a little bolder but all in all a pretty good beer.
