American brown sour.

Editor’s note:
This was a draft only beer that was only available in the spring of 2009. This is not the bottled version that was released in March of 2010 with a marking of FO/BB on the bottle.
That version is here.

"Pours porter-like, but with an aroma more dominated by lemons and funk than the dark malts. Pretty balanced in the flavor, though, but still with enough sour kick to get ya in the jaw. Nice beer."

Amber aroma. No head. No lacing. Sour aroma. Very acetic. Tart. Fruity. Malt. Not bad.

(Draught) Pours a cloudy amber-brown body with a spare off-white head. Aroma of vinegar, horseblanket, vinous, cheese, and cherries. Flavor of herbs, earth, vinegar, vinous, caramel, and raisins with a dry oak finish.

Thanks, RiversideAK! Pours clear reddish brown with no head. Lightly sour aroma, light body and no carbonation. Sour taste, with a bit of caramel. I don’t get much oak.

Pours brown with a thin ring of white filmy bubbles. Smells and tastes dry and sour with some vinous hints on the finish.

750ml "growler" from PilsnerPete. Murky brown body with no head and no apparent carbonation. Nose is light caramel, some sugars with a bit of cherry, a modest of amount of acetic acid (maybe a bit balsamic) and just a touch of plum. Flavor is lightly sweet, moderately sour, but the acidity is fairly soft with a decent amount of lactic acid to go along with the acetic, some cherries and prunes, a bit watery especially at the end. Medium body with no carbonation. I really can’t believe this is 9%. Decent and certainly interesting.

Liquid Sunshine V. Thanks, Riverside! Pours a clear dark brown. Headless. Laceless. Mild balsamicy lacto nose. Watery medium body. Lacto vinegar and not much else on the mid-palate.

Brown no head. Aroma is a light sourness, malt, some dark fruit, vinegar.
Taste is a salty sourness, lots of oak, caramel.

Bottle from LilBeerDoctor - thanks, Margaret! Still brown pour, not really any carb at all. Fragrant nose, oaky and tart fruits. Thick body despite the appearance. Strong vanilla blends with the oak. Sour cherry and very astringent finish. Not bad.

Huge thanks to WeeHeavySD for bringing this by. My favorite of the day. Dk brown/amber color. Nice sourness. Low carbonation. Very easy to drink. More please!
