From notes. Tasted some time near the summer of 2012 from a capped bottle, big thanks to Curtis for sharing. Pours dark molasses with an amber tint, and a thin tan head that leaves a thin collar of lace. The nose is super sour, tons of red wine vinegar, some vanilla oak, earthy funk, and dark caramel malt. The flavor is aggressively sour, but a nice balanced blend of everything from the nose otherwise. 375mL bottle, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks a lot, Dany), pours a deep dark mahogany / near-black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of oak, wood, sour dark fruits, and some red wine notes. Flavour brings out subtly tart dark fruits, red grape skins, some vinous (red wine) notes, and loads of oaky wood. Very complex, finishing on notes of dry, lightly soured dark fruit and grape skins, as well as woody vinous notes. Hides the 10% ABV very well. Very enjoyable stuff. Bottle shared in NH with AJ - thanks a lot! Aged one year. Pours deep brown with a creamy, beige head. Old, wet wood on the nose with stewed berries as well. Light sweet flavor with big tang, dark berries, light vinegar, more wet wood. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Bottle (on New Year’s Eve)... Poured deep, darkish cola, brown/red with a thin forming khaki head. Aroma of dark fruits, grapes and cherries with barrel and lactic acid. Hint of roast and malt sweetness with dark fruits, wood, and a decent amount of acidity for a nice, complex, tart character. Really nice, easy going. Joy to drink.

Bottle @ Bobby’s house, thanks to GT. Dark brown pour with a khaki head. Aroma of balsamic vinegar, black cherry, oak, and cola. A nice bit of chocolate, lemon, and grass. Flavor is tart and acetic. 375mL. Pours a clear, deep cola red/brown. Weaker foam. Okay for oude bruin. Really solid Flemish red nose- stuffed with blackberry, cabernet red wine, cinnamon, steak fat, mild acetic acid flash (okay for this style). A - Pretty dark pour espresso head. Nice lacing
S - Nose is roasted malts and a hint of tootsie roll. Not much sour in the nose. More oak and leather
T - Wow. Very sour. Musty and like a soured porter. Interesting but very sour!
M - Thin and oily mouth feel. nice roasted notes.
O - Not a beer I’d seek out again but pretty drinkable for a sour.
Bottle. Murky brown pour with browish head. Aroma is really fruity, cinnamon, acetic notes, orange, berries, very rich and interesting. Taste is sour, lots of acetic and citrusy notes, woody, spicy, almost smoky finish. Best dark sour I’ve had I think.
