(Bottle) Pours near black with pale brown head. The aroma holds black sticky cherries, vinegar, tart grapes, bread/cookies, citrus, liquorice root, touch of cheese and some barnyard. The flavour is dry, near heavily acidic and tiny bitter with notes of citrus, bread, cookies, light funk, hints of barrel, vinegar and wine. The mouthfeel is round and tart with a light carbonation. Aggressive citric finish. Near medium bodied.

Nearly opaque black red color with a small, lit tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast, cherries, red wine vinegar, char, brett, vanilla, and light bacteria. Taste of cocoa, char, sour cherries, light vinegar, and a sour finish. I thought the burnt notes clashed a bit with the funky barrel. RoyalFlushing (326) - Mamaroneck, New York, USA - AUG 11, 2012
Bottle poured a deep dark brown with a small tan head and notable lacing. Aroma is dominated by tart cherries, oak, slight yeast funk, and grape. Taste is sour all the way through, but palatable, with notes of berry, cherry, smoke, and spices. Interesting take on a sour that is enjoyable to sip on. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - AUG 6, 2012
A big thanks to boamr for sharing this in LA. Pours a very cloudy dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma leads you to believe its going to be sour and loaded with vinegar notes. Some aged balsamic vinegar and some tart cherries are there. When I tasted it I was surprised to find it containing some nice sourness and fruit while being a bit dry...but the vinegar I was smelling didn’t really hit on the tongue. Cool beer! Big thanks to Huhzubendah for sharing this one. Served in a Captain Lawrence cervoise. Black. Nose has a bit of fruit and fairly-heavy acid. Flavor has a touch of roast and dark fruit. Mild acetic. Dry. A bit harsh.
