Bottle shared in NH with AJ - thanks a lot! Aged one year. Pours deep brown with a creamy, beige head. Old, wet wood on the nose with stewed berries as well. Light sweet flavor with big tang, dark berries, light vinegar, more wet wood. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Sour finish, moderately dry, with very tart dark berries and lingering wet wood. Quite dynamic and complex. Very enjoyable. rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 6, 2012

375mL bottle, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks a lot, Dany), pours a deep dark mahogany / near-black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of oak, wood, sour dark fruits, and some red wine notes. Flavour brings out subtly tart dark fruits, red grape skins, some vinous (red wine) notes, and loads of oaky wood. Very complex, finishing on notes of dry, lightly soured dark fruit and grape skins, as well as woody vinous notes. Hides the 10% ABV very well. Very enjoyable stuff. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - NOV 27, 2013
Bottle @ Bobby’s house, thanks to GT. Dark brown pour with a khaki head. Aroma of balsamic vinegar, black cherry, oak, and cola. A nice bit of chocolate, lemon, and grass. Flavor is tart and acetic. Light cola and caramel sweetness. Plenty of balsamic, cherry, oak, green apple, and lemon. Mild chocolate. Solid. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - OCT 14, 2014

Bottle at the Blind Tiger for their Captain Lawrence event. Pours a deep black without any hint of a head. Sweet dark cocoa, acid, a bit of funk, roast and wood. Velvety and thick, cocoa, chocolate, acid, odd funkiness, warm wood and roast. Grape dimetap and Popsicles, wood, sour acid, funky roast. Gentle acid, not bracing in any way. Strangely balanced. Whole lot of stuff going on here. Soft and supple, sweet and yet still full bodied with a lot of smoothness and some bright acidity. I have no idea what to make of this. Finishes with some lingering acidity, a touch of nutty acetone, long roast. Confusingly good. deyholla (11600) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAR 23, 2013
Bottle shared by Ari, thanks! Pours a hazy dark ruby brown with a gray head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has note so sour cherry and a good amount of oak with light funk and grain. Flavor has sour cherry with a good amount of oak with a hint of funk. hopscotch (11100) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 5, 2012
Bottle... This beer rocks!... Pours murky brown with a small, creamy, khaki head. The nose is both acidic and acetic, offering additional interwoven notes of caramel and sour cherries. Full-bodied and creamy with modest carbonation. The tart, fruity flavor offers sour cherries, light vanilla, mild yeasty bitterness and a suggestion of caramel. Tart, tangy finish. Many thanks to newcigarz for sharing this world class beer! daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - AUG 6, 2012
A big thanks to boamr for sharing this in LA. Pours a very cloudy dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma leads you to believe its going to be sour and loaded with vinegar notes. Some aged balsamic vinegar and some tart cherries are there. When I tasted it I was surprised to find it containing some nice sourness and fruit while being a bit dry...but the vinegar I was smelling didn’t really hit on the tongue. Cool beer! 375mL. Pours a clear, deep cola red/brown. Weaker foam. Okay for oude bruin. Really solid Flemish red nose- stuffed with blackberry, cabernet red wine, cinnamon, steak fat, mild acetic acid flash (okay for this style). Taste is more lime heavy, very citric, as it warms falls more into Flemish red with red wine, minerals, cinnamon, saltwater. Solid!
