Tap. Golden with small head. Lightly tart and smooth finish. Excellent for style.

Bottle/draft in the past. Light golden pour with white head. Light malt and fruit like aromas. Flavor is light but not lacking, could definitely drink this for a while. Nice session brew.

Thx for beer bubby. Appearance was clear light gold with creamy diminishing white 1 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are bready, slight cracker,, funky yeasts, citrus fruits, hints of spice, pale malts. Taste was yeasty bread, lemon, grapefruit, slight pine. Palate was crisp smooth CO2 with light body, then average citrusy clean finish. A good clean citrusy Kolsch...

12oz bottle .. . not sure what was going on with this one .. . pours a simple yellow gold .. some spots of foam .. . a bit soapy, some sea water too .. . a very empty beer .. . . I brought you a tuna sandwich. They say it’s brain food. I guess because there’s so much dolphin in it, and you know how smart they are.

The malts shine through with this beer. There is a mild citrus flavor, but it’s subtle, maybe a dark fruit? Not bad.

Smells like Heineken. Tastes like grass and a hint of sour apple with yeasty funk in the background. Drinkable, but not exciting.

Thanks to local beers trade partner for this one. Psyched to try it! Pours a clear yellow-gold with a white head. Nose is sweet malt, light grass, mild fruit, and some yeast. Flavor follows the nose with some malt, yeast, and mild grassy hops. Finish lingers with yeast. Light in body and very sessionable and refreshing.

OldGrowth (3474) - the Containment Area, North Carolina, USA - SEP 9, 2012
bottle, the wife brought back when she visited her parents so not sure where she got it. good aroma, grassy, doughy. clean orangy gold color, good head, little to no lace. bitter sweet flavor. light body, smooth thin mouthfeel, lightly bitter finish. Solid kolsch, easy to drink, hits all the proper points, good stuff

Served on draft at the brewery. Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of grainy malts, grassy hops, bread, herbal notes and apples. The taste is grassy hops, grainy malts and apple. Medium bodied, clean and refreshing. Nice.

Refreshing and clean. The appearance didn't impress too much with little or no head and very thin light yellow appearance. But the flavor won me over. Clean, crisp and well balanced. Fizzy, light malt and spice flavored. Favorite hot weather beer for me this summer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
